what are yr thoughts
i want people to take me more srsly because of my headgear
after being quoted 2 weeks
hold up was getting the phone switched over
before she moved in. BT asked sky, who agreed to transfer the line back over. Without informing us. This 'request' apparently went on our account and nothing can happen in either house until the request is removed. Which they seem incapable of doing. How hard can it be???
They were supposed to suspend my account for a few months (or something, can't remember the terminology) whilst we moved house. When I called to get it reactivated, my account was "pending deletion" and every single person I spoke to acted like there was nothing that could be done. Took fucking weeks. In the end we resorted to emailing James Murdoch's fake email address that people use when they're massively pissed off (firstname.lastname@example.org I think). Some nice lady from customer arse-kissing department then phoned us quite quickly and got it all sorted.
but it obviously wasn't his personal address, just one that had been set up as a "hey I'm the boss, ask me anything" account that was being read by customer service people.
I am surreptitiously trying to give you his actual email address though.
Also, at our last company conference the bosses talked about a big push to try and keep hold of customers and shake the deserved reputation that Sky is shit at dealing with people once they've got your money, so if you do call up with legitimate complaints call centre staff are now obliged to placate the more irate customers with discounts and whatnot. Worth a shot, I'd say.
you just live under the sky at the new house.. it's all pretty much the same tbf

with the fact that you have moved house.
We moved house in 2007 and every time we have phoned them since they try informing us that we don't live at the current address even though they re-installed it when we actually moved, have since been to deliver an HD box and also have been out to the address when we have had problems with the box.
And it was working from the day we moved in. Phone and broadband are a different story, but Sky claim this is not wholly their fault, as they have to get the line switched over from BT and all that jazz. I imagine BT as recalcitrant buggers who stubbornly refuse to speedily change the line over cos they're gonna lose custom.
The worst thing is because of where we live we can only record one thing at a time, making Sky+ a bit pointless and we're still paying full price.
