I'm a fan of his, but this show wasn't right, was it?
and obviously fake from start to finish, just like last week's.
The first in the series (the assassination one) I wasn't too keen on as I thought it was a bit Derren Brown by numbers and bits of it stretched credibility somewhat but I thought everything in last week's episode easily could and probably did happen (especially as usually Derren Brown is open about the use of misdirection in his shows and he twice very clearly stated he wasn't faking anything so, if he'd have been lying about that it would have a) been pointless and b) seriously undermined his credibility if he got caught out).
...and perfectly prepared to accept it as reality.
Quite interested to hear from Derren sceptics as I am a huge sceptic but I don't really see much to question in last night's show.
One of his more straightforward experiments.
He ruined it.
Nice to see there are good people like Jody in the world and we're not all selfish, greedy, aggressive pricks. How many people would admit they committed a murder? Even if you'd been tricked into believing you'd done it I'm sure most people would've tried to keep it secret for as long as possible.
And to people who think it's all fake, you're joking right? He's done way too many of these things for someone not to have blown the whistle by now.
how people can be convinced of doing/made to feel guilty of something they know for sure they didn't do, as one suspects might be the result of aggressive police interrogation or whatever. As it was all he did was make him think he could've done it.
Similarly last week's show didn't achieve what it said it would. Given that the audience knew it was fake, and that the guy would be alright at the end of it, their decisions were not moral ones.
On my most optimistic days I'd like to think that at least one person would go help someone they have just seen been shot.
Unless of course they knew/thought it was fake. Did any of the audience even look to see where the shot was fired from?
Which I completely agree was a bit shit but not the one we're presumably talking about here.
