I didn't see it.
(It won't be a London one)
based on the artwork of the V, is Boston
they could easily tie that in with a nod to the McReary family from IV
With the focus on Hollywood/the film industry.
NEEKO - ROMA I DRIVE CAR
ROMA - CUZZEN I NNED YOU DRIVE ME TO BOWLING AND DRUNK
NEEKO - ROMA I CRASH CAR INTO SEA. I AM DEAD
ROMA - OK CUZZEN PICK ME UP IN HOUR
the difficult fifth sequel.
Somewhere I read said Washington DC.
Somewhere I also read said it'd be the Whole of a fictional set of states, like from Texas West to California, with Canadian and Mexican borders.
i think this should be a launch game for the next gen, gta IV looks pretty turdy now, don't want more of the same.
I think there's some scope for them to do something really good (both PC & console), in fact I'd settle for a smaller area with a slightly tighter scripted story and a bit less free-romery overkill
and don't forget that IV is a good few years old now too, so it's going to look pretty dated if you stack it up against something like the new Assassins Creed
battlefield 3 shows how creaky consoles are now, first game that has me wishing i hadn't given up on the PC update race years ago
gta V will be made for consoles and ported to PC, IV ran like shit on PC
reviews I've read of the full game are suggesting that has little resemblance in quality to the finished version and was a massive PR fuck up by EA in putting it out to the masses
and I have a pretty high-spec machine.
He was obsessed with playing the game and doing missions etc. I just used to make the character fat by eating hamburgers, getting him suited up in interesting clothes and randomly mudering pedestrians. It was quite fun getting in so much trouble that they sent the army out, you could get round it by hiding in a McDonalds if I remember.
Bigger or smaller map?
More freeroaming, side missions & mini-games?
A more tightly-scripted narrative?
More ridiculous or more serious?
More freeroaming and side-missions, mini-games can fuck off
More serious please
Not holding out much hope for that really though
bigger map, variety of map like SA had
more ridiculous, only because more serious even than GTA IV would be D:
I'm happy with smaller if it means better
nobody gives a shit about darts & bowling do they?
tightly-scripted & serious for the story, scope for some silly stuff in side-quests or dlc
I enjoyed the sparseness of the countryside bits in San Andreas the most and the film missions of Vice City.
So maybe Route 66 or something with more interesting water marshland so you can use those giant sledges with fans strapped on the back.
Not that they'd ever do it, as people like cars and shooting stuff, but could be a good story about blowing up levies, working your way out of the town to the big city up stream, marsh missions. It'd be a totally different soundtrack too.
I imagine it will be in America again.
Guys? Canada? Like, Toronto? Guys?
minigun, chainsaw and katana. and detachable limbs. plus more explosions
Where it's pretty much the same game template, but in a much more interesting scenario.
I'm going to make it myself*
*no I'm not
isn't exactly the same as all the other ones (not including added gimmicks that get tired after half an hour of playing).
I think GTA is like The Sims in that at first it feels like the best game ever but about one day later you're sick of it and the novelty has worn off.
like Rockstar stuff because they're involving but not super complex. when i got my 360 I bought GTA4 and Fallout: New Vegas. GTA got completed, New Vegas gets ignored, because I can't be fucked with all the uniforms and mixing potions and whatever.
speaking of, what was LA Noire like? might need something to play when I'm reunited with my 360 at Christmas.
for animal assassin missions. that's all i want.
Rumors are that it is going to be based in San Andreas again. In 2012, hopefully it will not be taking itself too seriously. San Andreas was great.
This was apparantly posted from someone involved with rockstar games. http://gamerfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/LjY0K.png
What a dick.
at least the return of military, fun cheats and car modding hints that it wont be as serious as GTA 4
hopefully the ghost cars in san andreas will return.
GTAV will have to be pretty special to lure me back to 'serious' open world games
just because I KNOW it wont be as serious as GTA 4, that and Saints Row 2 was simply the better game at the core then GTA 4 ever was. Sure GTA had the story and atmosphere but it wasn't near as fun as SR2
(which I didn't realise you could skip until it was pointed out on here) totally put me off playing it. And the cars handled like a rollerskate on an icey pavement.
If I wanted to have a demanding boring girlfriend, irritating relatives I couldn't get rid of that spoke in a barely intelligible accent and dress in grubby trackies, I'd have never left Fife.
2) Gimme the Fife.
Tells us nothing.
what the hell did you expect?
Looks pretty cool. I'm not exploding with joy, will end up buying it, playing hard for a week and never touching again as per all the recent GTA games.
Does not really have a gang feel to it or anything.
thats a step in the right direction I suppose, looks nice but tells us nothing other then it's a GTA game with the standard GTA plot
colour, an improved-looking version of the best geographic creation in a GTA series, which means VARIETY OF LANDSCAPES AND PLACES, always important.
and that's about all you can tell from it really. not really surprising considering this is the first glimpse.
the story sounds like it might be intersting, though. he talks about himself as being a family man and good Dad. presumably, this'll have children in then? wonder if they'll be impossible to kill. at least the tone of the trailer makes it seem like it might be a little more upbeat than GTA IV
very Californian sounding
clothes shopping, going to the gym, cooking some food, commuting to work and popping to the dentist.
This is exactly what I want from my computer games...
Life of a homeless person? It's revolving around money in this one, could be the lack of it. They had shown tents and stuff under a highway also. Maybe the trailer is to put people off a bit.
The voice did sound like Tommy. Plus I thought I saw someone sporting CJ's old white vest running down the old Grove road, where someone was sticking up a For Sale sign. And the homeless guy is the chap out of GTAIV, right?
Chat on reddit that it could be a thinly veiled reference after the feller who played Niko in GTA IV complained about how much he was paid.
but he'd be 61 in 2012. a GTA game taking charge of a sextegenarian? hmm
like the way your horse has stamina on RDR
looks like him.
Would have preferred Claude Speed though.
maybe now I won't need to play a new game of San Andreas every year
