Anyone else see this last night? I thought it was really good.
Maybe splitting it into a couple of programs and exploring the history and significance behind the process a bit more might have been better, if you didn't know much about the whys of mummification before I'm not sure you'd be much the wiser after watching this.
Had a few misgivings beforehand about how they'd go about it but Alan and his wife were absolutely superb. He seemed to think that, aside from the science research aspect, it was all quite a jolly jape and I'd like to think that it made his last days that little bit better.
Couldn't help but but have a good chuckle when she said, 'It's just the sort of thing you would expect him to do' :D
