I had a Georgian beef stew once. It was really nicely spiced in a european/indian way and it had pickled gherkins in it.
but when I went to a Michelin starred restaurant on Saturday I had grilled leeks to start which is slightly unusual.
If you're going to be so literal we might as well all go back to one of CG's oh-so-interesting troll threads and play with TheWza.
What is unusual about that? Its just a stew.

I want to know about almost normal meals that have something a bit odd in them but that actually work quite well.
Sausages with boiled potatoes and a potato masher. Forces you out of your comfort zone and makes you really THINK about what you're eating.
