I'm looking after my Niece all day. I don't think I can cope with this.
Good weekend etc?
I just spent a ridiculous amount of money on a new coat so I really want the weather to get much colder now so i can wear it
let's skip the bit where I say something about myself.
How old's your niece?
I'm so tired.
Does anyone want to come and entertain a two year old?
(hope someone found them and gave them a nice home.)
I've never looked after her without her Sister. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with her for 8 hours.
It's hard to say, since kids are all so different, but you might be lucky and be able to sit down with her with some toys and play for 15 minutes or so, and as you do so, engage with her directly less and less. Just interact with a toy and she may/will start doing the same and after a while she'll be happy and you can leave off and get half an hour to yourself.
The other 7 hours and 15 minutes? :D
I've got the Peppa Pig DVD on standby.
also, try to multiply meal times: breakfast, morning tea, lunch, early afternoon tea, late afternoon tea, dinner. Plonk her down in front of the tv with something to eat each time, and you've basically got the entire day covered.
Peppa Pig is awesome, btw.
give it to her to play with...hours of fun
also: scales, containers and rice/pasta/lentils
make jam tarts/rice crispie cakes/pitta pizzas
go to the park
go to library
make play dough and play with it
got Vincent who is 2 plus 2 18odd monthers today..they're all mega snotty my shoulder is already getting crunchy
She is drawing a "lovely picture" at the moment :D
We've done the Dora alphabet cards. 9.23a
kids love repetition.
Kids are horrible. The lot of them.
yeah not bad thanks. worked a bit and played a lot of Uncharted 2. All is well.
Hit the week mark today in my no smoking thingy. yay.
Hospital tomorrow. Boo.
I need to stop smoking.
so they can decide what to do with it.
I'm surprised that i've got this far to be hoenst, because it has felt oddly easy. Like very. This could all change though, obv.
Definitely cut the finger off.
I'm not going to tell you how my weekend was unless you tell me about yours first. These are my terms.
Looking ahead: WORK HELL STARTS HERE/TOMORROW. Also might have to beg my parents for money soon. Great.
Had some drinks. Did some dancing. Saw some people. Didn't sleep enough.
Now you!! (Saturday?!!)
It went very well.
Thanks for asking.
Deets! I have goss if you have goss...
In public! In public!
Had a date on Saturday, went round Southwark Cathedral, Tate Modern, Borough Market + pub. She's 24, American, studied in DC and Oxford and now works for a big internet company. Likes cool bands. No kiss, but a definite promise to meet again and lots of texts since.
IS THIS ENOUGH FOR YOU VULTURES?
Dunno. She 'liked' my profile on OKcupid a few weeks ago and I messaged her after that.
Some of us sit at home completely alone with no chance of poon in our pathetic existences. YOU MAKE ME SICK
started a bretonnian army to fill the dark empty seconds, just so you know
You can get some amazing armour effects using thin washes of ink over a brown/black undercoat.
your new girlfriend
I've just got this memory someone messaging you, when you first set up your profile, saying that you were her perfect match or something, but the only problem was that she lived in the US.
Other pressing agenda items for today: does the above indicate an unhealthy degree of interest and recollection on my part in the trials and tribulations of your love life?
And yes, yes it does (though it's natural to root for an underdog).
I writing. In a public forum.
Anyway she wouldn't expect you not to tell your friends about it, and DIS is just like telling your friends really loudly in a pub.
Don't show her your love gun, son.
hips got nothin' to lose
Quite a good weekend.
There's a mobile blood donation van at work today. I think I might go along. I've never given blood before, bit nervous (which is silly, I'm sure).
i mainly ate over the weekend. especially Saturday. felt like henry VIII by the time I went to bed on Saturday night (though I have neither divorced nor beheaded mrs ccb).
Sunday afternoon, felt like I was going down with the flu - all shivery and achey. went to bed really early last night and have woken up feeling fine. yay for not being unwell.
how was *your* weekend?
I can't tell
so far the only beheadings have been those applied to a cardinal and to a former chancellor, but I don't fancy that Boleyn girl's chances of making it to the end of Season 2.
was good. very entertaining.
that I'm trying to fill the following blank with a shit joke:
what do you call a [_________________________]?
Chris de Burgh
*Growing tired of their grunge career, they had developed time travel and began moving through the past, trying to avert historical disasters. Although they couldn't stop Audioslave!
A: Chris, de burg!
skin is REALLY bad today
good start 2 the day xo
Boyfriend told me we were going for drinks. Got on the train. Went to get on another train and he gave me Katy Perry tickets. OMG IT WAS THE BEST THING EVER. I have never been happier.
Thanks for listening.
But if you haven't bothered to find an answer to the pint glass question ima be deeply upset.
I have no answer yet, I am deeply sorry. And I won't have an answer for some time as my lips are very dry and cracked. If you remind me on Friday night, I will definitely give it a go.
You owe me £25.
get in line?
if thats what you mean?
How was Get Up?
Family weekend sucked less than anticipated - doing Go Ape with a bunch of my little brother's dickhead mates was a lot of immature fun. I did however not really drink, and got a lot of sleep. So now pretty much desperate to ruin myself as soon as possible this week.
Plans for this week mainly being frustrated by the fates, gr.
A friend of mine went there as part of his stag do, it looked great. There aren't many things more fun in life than zip wires!
So I didn't land assbackwards in a pile of wet filth and woodchips on every zipline. I feel that this is a major step forwards in my life.
I think it's been 10 years since I was on a zipline. I need to rectify that.
I ended up going out multiple times, spending loads of money and am now waaaaaay under my arbitrary savings I try to keep constant and its still a week til payday. Still, I love this kind of weather and pretty much skipped to work *I didnt skip
Brixton Friday night, was about to go to World Unknown but bailed in the end as i was tired and wanted to watch the Wales game in the morning (i'm getting old)
Watched Biutiful, made me cry like a bitch, very sad
Sunday i hung out with a friends baby in a pub, i'm pretty sure plenty of people thought i was the dad, had my gym bag with me & it looked like i had the babies things in it...felt a bit odd
(although I seem to be the only one who thinks that), then went to Get Up! and danced until we had to go home.
Saturday: Played, and lost, a hockey match in leafy Dulwich, then had a quiet night in watching Merlin.
Sunday: Went to see Harakiri, the new Miike film. It was okay, if a bitt too stately and classical in the way it told the story. And the 3D added nothing. 6/10.
Fri: Got SMASHED with the LADS. Lots of BANTER. Out 'til FIVE. Unnecessarily aggresive to loads of people I didn't KNOW.
Saturday: Watched football. Played LA Noire.
Sunday: Watched the end of Six Feet Under (crikey). Then watched Training Day (crikey). Then went to Basingstoke, where I still am.
No plan for the week other than work really. Sigh.
14 years and eight months overage. Definitely still got it.
Fortunately closer inspection of my developing crowsfeet were accepted as sufficient proof of age, cos I'd gone out without my wallet. Props to the doorman for seeing sense. Props to MsWza for getting the rounds in.
Peaches @ the Arches on Sat night. An enjoyable rave up. Night bus never came. Queue for taxi was epic.
Foxes were on the telly. But lost. F1 after that. Pizza for tea./ Completed my data entry task with the minimum of fuss.
Just your mum's fannybatter. It's drying up though so imma have to use your sister's soon.
Weekend was good - Was meant to meet up with ancient friends on friday night but I GOT STOOD UP. So went and had a quiet one, which was a blessing in disguise really cos my saturday was really good - went to Kingston to do some shopping really early, then saw lots of family, then went to the Borderline to see a friends band, who ended up being pretty brillo. Stayed out with some nice people and fun was had.
Sunday I completed fallout 3. I r winner.
It's pretty good, though you might want a bit of a break before starting it after fallout 3.
But yeah - I'm gonna take a break from it I think. I didnt realise if you did the main quest then it finishes - thought it'd be like Oblivion where you can just carry on. I have so much left to do on Fallout, but just wanted to do the main questline first. Pretty gutted.
does let you continue and raises the level cap; i found it all a bit meh though unfortunately.. oh, except the snowy one, which was good.
I'm thinking mumm-ra
I've been neglecting Deus Ex. For shame.
this tuesday is the one that I can't do! :D
PLAY DEUS EX. or street fighter. practice.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?
However enterprise are booked totally for tomorrow so no matter. Nick can you book the 25th?
I've prety much just accepted that I'm having my ass handed to me on Friday. Might try and get a little practice in though.
I though you meant this thuuurrrrsday! sorry! i did a little fail there. in my pants.
then maybe. But running a freind's stag do that weekend, so can't massively guarantee.
then i sat in first class on the train cos i am a total wildcard.
Is this a normal thing? Sounds pretty dangerous!
jessie fucking james
Friday - Danced around like a buffoon at Get Up
Saturday - Went to Brighton for ex-housemate's birthday, did a stunning rendition of Cool For Cats by Squeeze at karaoke, got very drunk
Yesterday - Meatballs and spaghetti, Stephen Fry, bed
(title and artist, of course) in precise running order and complete with commentary on crowd reception, slam-dancing intensity and drink-spillage frequency, please.
My memory is terrible for things like this. I do remember Stutter by Elastica though. And Rob played Fleetwood Mac at the end because he's a genius.
The best nights are the ones where it's all a blur
I think it's too big for some poxy weekend thread though. Keep yr eyes peeled
Not back at work till Wednesday though. Unfortunately the girlfriend is back today so I'll be entertaining myself till 6 today and tomorrow. So far I've eaten left over lasagne for breakfast and listened the the first Sammy album on spotify. Sammy were pretty good. They remind me a lot of another band. L O L
now i'm here
the word Mundy and Chintzy keep melding to create the word Cunty/Cuntzy. Cheers.
Apologies if I farted on anyone.
and so spent the last three hours dozing off in front of my line manager, with some sort of crazy aphex twin siren going off in my ears.
Just ran out to get a sassage + egg bap so I'm okay now :)
two afternoons of wetNwindy golf, a gig in the town and far too many hours playing the Dimblebot version of asteroids. 9/10
Went to the boy's mum's for the weekend. Went for Autumn walks around his old neighbourhood. It was lovely. Just what I needed after last week. 3 day week this week! Get in!
went to a pre-club thingy as I was impatient and started to come up in the flat sooner than expected, got chatted up at the pre-club. Failed to make it to the club. Won't see her again as too much tooth use.
Saturday: Friend's birthday party at her pal's out in the sticks. Very good. Lost roughly 6-7 hours. Ruined a suit. Sticky phone. Bag with 5 pills in. =) Ups and downs.
Sunday: got home around 3pm. Felt crippled. Watched From Paris with Love, which is shit in only the way which recent John Travolta films can achieve.
Today: Bad comedown. EMOTIONAL FRAGILITY ABOUNDS. Could do with some sleep and a cuddle.
a voice reaching out in a piercing cry
haunting notes, pizzicato strings.
Some cheese and wine festival happened on Saturday. As a result, I have vey little idea what happened to my weekend other than I have come out the other end of it teetotal.
pretty psyched about university challenge later.
Went to an 80th birthday party at the weekend in a nursing home. Scenes were untold.
Which is the quickest way to get from kings cross to waterloo at 9pm?
then down the Northern to Waterloo.
lots of drinking, lots of dancing and too much money spent. Fun though, felt too knackered to be on top form on Friday but did surpisingly well on Saturday. Yesterday I was just sat around in the park drinking coffee and reading the paper and chatting.
Got a few days off so I'm going home this afternoon, planning to do not much at all.
Better than a lecture, but still a massive effort.
Considerably achey from playing cricket yesterday.
Going here - http://www.rare-steakhouse.co.uk/?page_id=2 - tonight. I am excite! Not sure whether to go for a mixed grill, a massive steak, surf and turf or steak, chicken and ribs. The dilemma of choosing which plate of massive meaty goodness to go for...
not sure if i caught something :(
And I am exhausted.
Maybe I won't have children.
Seeing as you started with just the one, it sounds like you procreated across the course of the day.
I've got a sore throat.
Glad it isn't because I'm not a fan of his work.
