I've got £7.08.
My lunch burrito took the balance
a nice amount I think you'll agree.
but not for long
I bet it's in one of those fancy clips too.
and needed to get out enough money to tide me over until new ones arrive.
Mark my words Marckee you're a marked man.
So, not counting getting loads out before a night out/if you had a specific reason to take the the money out like for buying stolen goods or something.
I think my MAXIMUM is probably £40. Great sub-thread.
Does that count as casual?
What's the maximum amount of change from getting cash out for a specific reason that you'd ever have on you?
ghds are priceless.
if I wasn't going for a night out or going shopping or something.
Usually no more than £10
1 x £5
4 x £1
1 x 50p
possibly after buying a condolencies card.
those of you who never carry about casual cash: what do you do if you just fancy a can of diet coke or something? do you pay for everything by card?
i don't deal in change anymore, only notes and my card. i have a pile in my bedroom of all the change i have picked up in the last few weeks.
I pretty much use my card for everything these days
I might have a tenner in my wallet though
No I don't
Trying to make it last the rest of the week. Trying to have an austerity month with no drinking to lose weight and save money so trying to do each week on £70.
Usually I make my monthly budget and at the start of the week and weekend I take out the budget for that period out in cash. I've found that a) you tend to round down when you pay on cards meaning you overspend b) it's easier to keep track of actual money in your pocket and c) spending actual cash hurts a lot more than paying by card
we spend loads less on food / housekeeping as a result of withdrawing a certain amount at the start of the week and making it last.
Watch this space
but just found £60 in my bag. I now recall this is because I had to lift cash on Monday might when Bodeans card payment system went down. I overestimated how much I'd need by rather a lot.
I take cash out in £100 increments, saves having to make constant trips to cashpoints or be a pain in the arse with cards / cashback in pubs. Larger purchases or food shops go on the plastic fantastic, I can last on £100 for ages, although I get antsy if it drops below £20.
my boyfriend lent me some money yesterday, as I didn't have time to get some out of the bank.
he gave me twenty £5 notes (grrrrr) - spent about a tenner, so more or less £90?
you'd feel well rich with a fat wad like that
let's mug her duck
They only have one bill on them.
I hate cash.
never have cash. ever.
LIKE THE FUCKING QUEEN I AM.
I have to do the `oh do they take cards? oh they don't? ohhhhhh ... you will?... ok I'll get you one next time... yeah a pint please... that one...cheers` ALL THE TIME.
Gonna get £50 out on my lunch break though.
The most cash I ever handled was £30,000 in £10 and £20 notes.
I had to give it to the manager of The Levellers. It was their fee for playing at the venue I used to work at.
The Levellers only accept payments in cash. They also command a much higher fee than bands of a similar profile, because the typical Levellers fan is a very profitable person to get into your bar.
See also, The Saw Doctors.
but holding out for the diffcult pun
If I'd replied an hour or so ago there would have been a cheque for £1002.30, too.
just wearing shorts
