He was signing his book in Waterstone's. He did a sort of mock Buzzcocks and I was one of the contestants. It was about Christmas time so it was all on Christmas music and for some fucked up reason, I got almost entirely carols as my Next Lines whereas everyone else got pop Christmas songs.
Anyway, I came last and he signed my book with "Remember, education is key!"
Nice guy though.
becauseus it's still all mainly hydrogenus
But not sure why he's famous, no one seems to like him
but i didnt like him tonight on QI. i hope he doesnt lose his personality with his weight. Sometimes that happens.
and routinely spoils any funniness created by other panellists by "trying to join in".
episodes on youtube not long back and he was quite a bit more tolerable.
his recording disasters on tv and acting like god bits
and his computer bits
he's okay, he can be quite funny and quite annoying but more good then bad.
was great, much better than Shaun Keveney.
but I did, at a Hold Steady gig. He was surprisingly short.
watching Guillemots at Summer Sundae back when 6 Music covered the festival live.
But not really very funny or talented. Would probably be a nice 'dad of one of your children's friends'
in a crowd of 1950s people dressed similarly.
He was like their leader.
and am genuinely surprised people are antagonised by him.
But overall he seems like a nice chap and can be relatively amusing.
He did a DJ set in a pub I go to once and I think I remember it being pretty good.
good radio DJ, good taste in music, can be very funny occasionally. But has a habit of sleepwalking through panel appearances a lot of the time.
Seriously, have a word. He's like Peter Kay without the wit.
