for cited examples of spontaneous combustion....something to do with there being an oxygen depletion in the room, preventing wider fire damage, and the human body fat like a candle and the clothing like a wick....something horrible seeming like that....whatever, the idea of spontaneous combustion is ridiculous

I think the repetition of 'matches' being in the room might've been a clue...
