Rather than, e.g. actually giving the company some feedback.
THAT, no Michael Stipe's wang
<picture of xzibit>
seriously like 20 people in a row posted it thinking it was hilarious
just easier I guess. All new ones are above the line. All old ones are below it. It used to be all jumbled up and I didn't really get how it worked.
there's also the newsfeed thing in the top right corner. A NEWSFEED IN THE NEWSFEED.
news feed = posts in chronological order
top stories = posts with lots of activity being bumped to the top
now its just that on one page I think, bit of a mess especially on my phone
and i even championed the in-page image viewer thing (AHEAD OF MY TIME) but this is shit. i like to read all the statuses ordered by time, and if i want to just see the "highlights" that's what the news bit was or whatever.
there was absolutely nothing wrong with it before. they're getting pretty desperate to try and stay 'relevant'. even if google+ doesn't take off now, something will come along shortly and repair all of the desperate impractical changes facebook have implemented.
like making it easier to have different lists of friends etc. but i don't know what on earth is going on today
Now, I don't know what google+ is like, but I suspect they'll now get a lot of people trying it who may not have thought of doing so before.
LOL THE MAD ONES! LOOK AT HIM, LOOKING ALL CHEEKY WITH HIS GLASSES! HE'S MENTAL!
i'll give them another shot when they've got rid of that
has to be deliberate, someone at google knew today was the day Facebook would be doing this.
If only some other people were as well
it's my first port of call now.
that tells you when someone likes something and when someone leaves a comment for someone youre not even friends with. Why?!
the chat bar was an annoying feature anyway.
This is marked as 'top story' on my news feed, making me feel like I'm reading the shittest news website in the world.
there's no longer a "limit availability" option for the chat!? am i missing something here or has this shit just gone bananas?
or how to fine tune my privacy settings.
wutevs, i'll get used to it and then it'll change again. back and forth forever.
hopefully that will show more updates than the default.
the racists and the knobs are still on 'hide' so it's fine
I only have 150 left!
but the app on my phone has gone to hell. a load of arse at the top now. strange. i never used the TOP NEWS thing it was a waste of time... so now i HAVE to look at it?
meh. i only use fb for photos because none of my mates know about flickr
Alot of people need to get a grip and take a long hard look at theirselves.
used it to much earlier this year when the girl i was seeing was on it a lot but after we went our seperate ways i only really use it for photos
twitter all the way
First time a FB layout changes has really bothered me either way. It'll piss me off until I forget what it used to look like.
Logged into Google+ for the first time in a month yesterday. They must have had their busiest day yesterday
I don't like top news stories, I like stream of consciousness from the people I haven't hidden.
I like photos of my friends, especially when I don't know them that well and they have hot bikini-clad friends or are friends with strippers.
I don't want to sound old, but it's just over-complicated everything. Is G+ just a better version of new Facebook? Would I prefer Twitter?
The Blue corner/top stories thing. I assume facebook has determined that these stories are of interest because I interact with these people more. However, its not, plus I cant see how to make other stories "top"
The feed in the top right corner is irritating and unnessecary.
However, as DanielKelly says above, I'll probably moan internally for a while until I get used to it, there are more important things to worry about
That sounds pretty interesting.
cos people have done all their moaning about facebook on facebook
So they may as well just crack on and do it, people will get used to it and then whine when it changes slightly again.
What is far more annoying at the moment is the big blue arrow on Google's front page alerting you to their crappy Facebook rip-off.
