if you go out for a meal, you expect to be able to stay as long as you feel right.
I do understand why they do it, but still.
Ensures that they can use the same table for 2 or 3 sittings per evening. Not a big fan of this practice, unless you know you have to be somewhere else later on (e.g. if it's a reservation for a pre-theatre dinner).
I don't thik I've ever had that. They can get to fuck.
If you mean a time by where if you haven't turned up so they can give the table to someone else, fair enough, just don't don't be a feckless git.
if you're coming in early and will be making use of an "early bird" offer or somesuch then i think it's reasonable to expect you to have fucked off by the time the real customers come in
