i'm about to do lots of washing up.
yeah, exciting times ahead for me.
and for you ?
and I'm about to attempt to make a cake for dessert, which I've only ever done once in my life before. Should probably have started before now, too. It's a chocolate fudge cake from the Ottolenghi cookbook I got for my birthday, so it should be pretty good if I don't fuck it up.
First up - the old firm game. Hopefully a wee Rangers win to take my mind off that horrendous tax bill and shamefully going out of europe so fucking early.
i hate you and i hope rangers fall off a cliff
year it applies to. My sister managed to wangle out of it due to some online letter template.
Under stress from every corner and on top of it all I've got a really bad cold. I get then all the time so tend not to care but this one's exceptionally bad, and Ive gotten altogether about 10 hours sleep over the part 4 nights WOE IS ME
at the moment. Think just sofa and music is the order of the day, and trying not to worry too much about work tomorrow when I find out whether I've been successful in applying for my own job due to some restructuring.
Was up at 430am to watch the rugby.
I'm going swimming in half hour then I'm off to record the rest of my album with ze band.
At the moment making a Spotify playlist for the journey is seemingly far more interesting than packing though so that's a challenge.
wasn't supposed to reply to that
going to the park for a game > coming back to feast on NFL for 9 hours
Then I made banana bread :D
Now I am going to study, and later I will complete the bastard-hard Donkey Kong Country Returns level my boyfriend and I have been stuck on for months.
eating chocolate for breakfast. Going to go for a walk then come home and cook good food. My lady friend is making a crumble for dessert, which I have high hopes for.
Cleaned the kitchen, put on some washing, going to do some ironing and some reading/studying afterwards.
It's days like these that really make me realise that I'm perfectly happy being a boring, boring person who wants nothing other than a quiet life.
Might play some more Fallout 3 later. Go REALLY crazy.
have done the washing up and cleaned the kitchen.
check out the roast i had last weekend
two of the girls i was staying with did all the work, all i did was buy some goose fat, which meant that the potatoes and the chicken were mind bendingly good
nom nom nom
waiting on a text to see if I'm going to Belfast, i'll likely not get a reply and i've already done the washing up so I imagine there's sweet fuck all in store for cowcow. Might go for a walk if the weather fairs up.
please soemone bring crumpets
Ridiculous day yesterday in BAR ALF (a pokey little beer and meat joint in Wodzislaw named after the fictional alien ended up drunk explaning to the owners children why smoking is bad, whilst smoking. Today I've been cleaning the flat which is impossible to do with an exciteable kitten running around like his tail's on fire.
This evening I'm going to the cinema with one of my students to see 'Drive'. Taking another teacher along so nobody thinks it's a date.
I still have a giant Alf jigsaw.
Things were funny.
Today I have been laying in bed and eating pizza whilst my boyfriend sleeps. He's very lazy. I might try to shave a part of his body as punishment.
I just sat about like a 70 year old with knitting and tea. I wanted to go out so much.
My housemate's got a gig tonight in town. I need to show my support but I don't want to go to town and I have this much money = £0
I'm knitting a draught excluder because I have the coldest house ever.
so, so tired.
pulled the girl i fancied last night :)
Need to write a report on germany's housing market :(
but eventually won. Now I'm going to sit around and play on my xbox and that. I am also now feeling remarkabley human.
I ordered a new bank card because I think I lost mine in KFC last night.
Don't know what you're talking about...
I'll Matrix the shit out of you
I hope I remember this moment for ever and ever and ever.
Please tell me all about this.
would be an insult to 3 year old girls everywhere.
From the balcony
(Call me, dweeb)
Oh there will be. THERE WILL BE.
Text me your email address, yeah?
NOT HARD. Get a memory, Monday.
I remembered your work email, yeah?
I can't move very much.
I'm singing Simple Minds. Enjoyable.
I have lots to think about that I do not want to think about today.
watched the rugby, followed by a manly weights session in the gym then last nights ufc
finished up this afternoon by completing deus ex HR, now staring into the abyss of the online job hunt :(
but ive decided to make a roast chicken dinner and honey roast veg.
havent done this is a long time. Sitting here waiting for the smell of the chicken to fill the house. Then it will feel like a proper Sunday.
The smell of clean washing and roast chicken makes me really happy. Might even treat myself to a nice bubble bath later. <3
this roast smells AMAZING.
What does it feel like?
and he ran up the hall and my knee smashed on the metal door handle really really hard. That was yesterday and it still really hurts and I can feel a groove in it that isn't on my other knee.
by running into a picnic bench in total darkness.
if its swollen and still sore in a few days, id go and get it checked. But its probably just really bruised from the knock.
when i worked in a+e one guy came in with his mate. They were both pissed, were arguing, and one of them ran over the other one's leg with a car, completely split it. Chap couldn't move without being given gas. His x-ray was like this: http://cdn.jockpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/corey-williams-knee-cap-xray.jpg
So if you'd shattered it i think you would've gone to hospers yday.
Is there any swelling? does it hurt to bend it or can you bend it? Tbh knees are very complicated so it's probably best getting it checked out either way. Could be anything from a bit of a bump to...well, something else.
In summary, ask OceanStorm.
That kneecap is ew. Very ew.
I think I am being over dramatic, as per usual. I think its just bruised :D IT DOES HURT THOUGH.
you'll live. But yeah basically what missbass said.
I'm studying on Orthopaedics rotation atm too, so I technically ought to know something about this. But yeah if you can move it and it's not excruciating to touch, it's *probably* just bruised. Ice and ibuprofen = the way forward. If you're still having loads of problems in a few days take it to your GP though, he'll be able to do a proper exam on it.
and I'm having mac and cheese
I want a roast
Someone cheer me up?
make your way through this website
I just watched Appropriate Adult, too- how depressing?
Sleepy cat 34 has annoyed me, LET THE DAMN CAT SLEEP.
And yes Fred West didn't do much to turn frowns upside down.
Bit worried that I will not be on form tomorrow :/
IT'LL BE FINE EVERYTHING IS FINE
no one works monday. you'll be fine. chin up, chuck.
*hugs and shit*
Trolling done right, essentially.
Next week might be REALLY lame.
I had a roast dinner.
making myself feel a bit sick thinking how next month I only have enough money to pay my rent but not even my bills. Bad times man. But it'll be interesting at least.
Just been watching a video of Muddy Waters when he did a gig right near my house in the 60s, on the railway lines where the tram station is now.
Don't worry about money, we're getting rich me shipped in remember?
So stoked for Manhester right now.
What ever flavour you desire.
So you know, it's not all bad.
had to take out a short temr cash loan. It'll be alright just means next month will be lean. I went thorugh the worrying like hell stage and have just come to accept it. It'll start me in a good habit of not drinking/smoking and making my own lunches, anyway.
but yeah I think it's something to do with the time of year and the fact it's getting dark early.
was undercooked. Had really nice roast dinner, accompanied by discussions over whether or not Colin Firth is boring, and my friend and her boyfriend having a proper argument about feminism. Then went to see Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, which was hard to follow at times (haven't read the book) but really engrossing and well shot.
Anyhow I'm feeling vaguely ill and inexplicably tired. Think I'm gonna rewatch Scott Pilgrim for some laughs.
Been down on Dale Farm this evening - total chaos. Dozens of media, loads of protestors. Looks a bit like Glasto but with more barbed wire. Really tense atmosphere. Gave me a good buzz. My colleague is camping out there with some other journalists (think I saw George Monbiot pottering around?) - helped him pitch his tent with half bricks to weigh down the guide ropes. Going to be down there fecking early tomorrow to see if the bailiffs do as promised. Look out for me on the telly, I'll give you all a wave.
My phone is at the end of my bed. You know how it is.
I laughed, though.
Good work with the gypsies, sugartits.
I'm going to go and get pizza.
but not the pizza I really wanted
Mine was totally unsatisfactory.
It's no Mighty Meteor.
You should totally use Lupa, homes.
Recovering from the party of the balcony sicking. Just about there. Lethal cheery coke / builders tea tag team is helping. DJ battling my housemate. With very weedy tunes.
was beautiful, but now i'm going through a, 'one of my best mates has a house, a good job and a wonderful wife, whilst i work in a shop, live with my parents and have girls sick up on my bed before they can have sex with me' comedown.
nothing like the best day of a friend's life to realise that yours is in the crapper.
I've had an awesome two weeks in Boston, New York and Washington, not least because it was stuffed with the best food ever.
Back to work on Tuesday.
Have a safe flight!
it makes my massive head look slightly less massive, which is good.
i met shrewbie whos jealous
