And tax breaks for those who decide to partake in the procedure. Or we could just be like China
you are excluding a set of people from that advantage because of their human right to reproduce.
practical, but people would go apeshit.
the babies will then be melted down for glue, thus giving the glue industry a much needed cash injection.
Which is the same answer I gave the last time you posted this thread.
Hoping that one day a DiSer will come up with the answer?
but this time i am asking for different reasons (I think)
before it would be for generally the world needing to not increase population.
This time i am asking in case governments needed to deecrease the population rapidly in the immediate future
to cope with any situation in which it becomes necessary to decrease populations?
be considering this (by seeing if you guys can envisage it) and
b) what ways governments might consider.
Ageing populations are the source of the 'population problem', if you are inclined to believe there is one. There isn't really any move that doesn't sound callous, but I'd guess a move away from recovery-based medical treatment to palliative care at some predetermined age cut-off point would decrease life expectancy and as such population size.
possibly in a Running Man style but I need to think that bit through first.
Shepherd all the good people into underground bunkers for 100 years, during which time top men will develop antidotes to radiation poisoning. Top. Men.
We need youngsters to do the work and pay for them. Either we can start killing old people, or we could wait for population levels to even themselves out. They won't increase exponentially forever. I hope.
Is the best way to look at this? (not in an ideal world of course...but we don't live in an ideal world with limitless resources, we live in a world that is led (for a little while longer) by democracies that are driven by fickle electorates 'wants'
Take a deep breath.
Stop catastrophising. (I think that actually is a real word)
And start enjoying life.
probably not a good idea given my 'condition' :D
a good idea is to realise that in the nicest possible way - you're on limited time (in the sense that we're ALL on limited time) - whether it's old age or the Finance-ocolypse that finally does us in. So we might as well enjoy our friends and families while we can.
it is relevant to your interests
Then I would hunt down anybody who's ever phoned in and throw them to the sharks. I'd also trace the IPs of anybody who's ever posted a comment on the Guardian, Daily Mail or BBC HYS websites and throw them to the sharks. Then I'd get lists from the universities of everybody who's ever done /applied to do courses in fashion journalism or business and throw them to the sharks. I'd probably stop there, but only because the sharks would be getting full.
to automate the process?
Cover all of the padding with sandpaper.
That automatically detonates if it's ever switched onto ITV.
People like you would be for the sharks.
You're gonna have to send in the dinosaurs if you wanna deal with me.
Hippos r gr8
All hippos shall be shipped there, and all non-hippos will have to seek the hippo's permission to stay.
don't hippos kill more humans than any other animal in africa?
I thought you WANTED us to kill people
I think hippos have a long way to go to beat them.
Let it go.
That should do it
