Not too much to report.
Dead Island gets given a 3/10 on EDGE. Lots of people moan saying it deserves at least a 6/10, forgetting that videogame ratings don't go below that for most publications.
Borderlands 2 details begin to emerge. Sounding interesting. good article about the 'world' of the game too in EDGE last month, saying it only came about by accident after all the in house teams didn't marry up, so they created a mish mash of styles to cover over it.
Battlefield 3 pre-orders are off the scale already. It does look well slick.
Wii U in development hell says some unknown source, with the wi-fi and half the features shown at E3 not working. And a downgraded chip set used in the real thing from the demoed console. I'd take it with a pinch of salt but the leak called correctly the last few Nintendo innovations, including the second stick they're bringing out for the 3DS.
Which seems doomed already, with Nintendo not learning from past Wii mistakes and releasing new peripherals and retro titles instead of getting third party developers on board.
And rounding off a bad week for the Japanese giants, they're being sued over a patent concerning the Wiimote tech.
When it rains, it pours...
