can't go wrong with a few pastries.
Take that to the fucking breakfast thread, huh? :D
Bakeries are amazing places. I don't just mean the likes of greggs, but also wee family run efforts. I love baked goods.
Run by really nice people, they are not usually places you can sit in, you just order and pick up etc. Never really know what to get sometimes though.
Or maybe that square cake covered in raspberry jam and shredded coconut?
Do you live somewhere that's full of old people?
it's the old age snack really isn't it, for the generation before over stocked sweet shops.
I might get a selection after work tomorrow.
this is really a good thing tbh
for bakeries :D
they really are. I didnt realise how spoilt for choice i was until i moved down to Belfast.
There are lots and lots of small, decent, independent bakeries that sell delicious cakes. There's 3 in our town, which has a population of about 2000.
there are no good bakeries :(
Greggs is great for a cheap pasty, but they don't do any decent bread and their sweet stuff is pretty rubbish.
all the bread is shit; so hopelessly vile that every sandwich, butty or bap I consumed on my recent sojourn back to Blighty further hardened my opinion that emigration was a surprisingly astute decision.
The cakes are alright but they're mostly foreign anyway.
Also no deli counters in the spars/londis
