cod in butter sauce
sticky toffee pudding
i just ate a big cheapo trifle from lidl.
No one wants sausages with big fucking bits of apple and shit in them. No one.
and maybe some herbs and/or spices.
If I wanted that I'd buy proper meat. I JUST WANT SAUSAGES, DAMN IT.
what are you talking about.
cheapest yellow onion i can find x 10 straight in my basket
Sun Pat is grossss
but you're entitled
Most supermarket own brand ones are rubbish, but I'd pick Walkers or Seabrooks over any those hand fried, daft flavoured, pretentious nonsense expensive brands any day.
On a related point, what twunt invented vegetable crisps? Utterly atrocious.
White sliced ftw.
I stand by this.
basically money = nom
Some big brands are crap, mostly because they have too much salt or sugar (or both) in. I usually get own brand or value stuff and for the majority of products it is as acceptable, as good or better. Some, value such as yoghurt, are shit.
However, I would not say any value product is better than a really good quality expensive version. The only possible exclusion being some fresh fruit and veg if you are lucky.
My mum bought me some fancy one in a tray with 'shaved nutmeg' on the top of it.
It was just like cream with rice in it.
Ambrosia rice pudding is a delicious lump of beautiful custard with rice in it and costs about 30p a tin. God I love it. Get some jam in it.
similarly - birds custard powder > fancy french custard
ok that's all i got so far
when buying meat is hilariously wrong.
except possibly when buying mince for homemade burgers, cos then the extra fat in cheaper mince will help the burgers stick together.
Sticky toffee pudding
YES! Anything cheap that has what should be an illegal amount of sugar poured in to it.
'Anyone who thinks that buying the cheapest

Even if you do eat meat, surely you would want to know if that animal had any form of life/saw daylight when it was alive?
Or maybe I'm just being presumptuous.
if you're even eating an animal at all
anyone on DiS ever quoting someone instead of just replying to their post ? i've never seen it, ever !
id rather have christmas tree decoration chocolate, with its gritty sugary texture than some hotel chocolate rubbish
trifle - I agree with this one
crisps - Cheap crisps such
cod in butter sauce - Bad flavours
onions - Tastes odd
most soup - Def not
sticky toffee pudding - The cake is often dry or stodgey
different subject, things that are cheaper and better not cheaper and as good
