I've been to all the previous ones and had a great time.
If you do go, but don't want to find yourself in Peckham late on a Sunday, and fancy a gig in north London, then I can highly recommend Trouble Books at Cafe Oto...
I will stand on my own in a corner and awkward indie boys will fall in love with me. (Y)
We use the corner tactic to get the girls. Stop that. Stop it.
I've not got much on on Saturday, so I might give it a look...
Might head down on Sunday if I can be arsed. Unless you live very nearby it's a ballache to get to though.
because I love Let's Wrestle very very much. Depends if I can persuade my boyfriend to tag along with me to Peckham I think. But I went a couple of years ago and it was really fun!
but I don't think I can make any of it this time round. Should be good though.
put off my how "doors at 12pm" usually means "bands start at 4pm" and I don't wanna pay for a few hours really.
new venue is real nice though, much much better than the last one.
i've been away so long everything is different and scary but i'm guessing the old venue would probably be more accessible to me now and it'll make me feel even worse.
it was a one storey leaky garage building with some caravans in it. they had to hire in PAs and the sound was not always the best.
the new one is a multi-storey building by the train line and behind the high street. UTR did another thing there in April and it was much better, proper PA and different stages on different floors.
are you back in London now then??
are there loads of shows in peckham/SE now? from a quick look at the upset the rhythm website, i've only ever been to one of the venues they have for upcoming shows and that's the shitting Garage.
yeah, back in london just for this month, nothing permanent. everything seems so clean.
pretty sure it's still crusty dubstep-central around there.
where are you off to next? i'm moving to Edinburgh at the end of the month :D
called the Victoria, but I've not been there as I've not lived in London for nearly a year now)
It's a weird venue in that it's still very much a Local Pub, and I'm not sure they take *too* kindly to it being invaded by hipsters.
I saw Foot Village the last time they came to London, they did a show at that scout hut place opposite the Dalston Sq development. they set up in the middle of the floor and played there, it was rad.
Don't really know any of the bands but it could be quite fun.
Peckham though... And Upset the Rhythm though...
but (sadly) only tonight
Saturday, like. Want to catch Left Leg, who are good.
