is it me or has there been very little reaction to this?
maybe to stop tensions getting worse, granted, still strange
Fuck sake, this means it will kick off huge tomorrow and i was going to go to that museum of black country metal bands exhibit
I think people are just a bit 'exhausted' of the news and reacting to it.
just going by the bbc website, it's 4 or 5 stories down http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/
just thought there'd be more of a 'well shit's got real now' reaction, whereas there seems to be more of a resigned 'it was bound to happen' vibe
Above the fold on the Daily Mail, Daily Express, BBC and The Sun. Only the Mirror and Sky News seem to have it below the fold of what you'd call the mainstream news sites.
It's not exactly being brushed under the carpet.
I was thinking about this but more that politicians haven't said much
I think this is mostly cause
1. they're worried there was more to it
2. it would be like thanking the public for doing the work the police should be doing/admitting there weren't enough police out in birmingham
3. it might encourage people to take the law into their own hands
