portsmouth 0 - barnet (yes, BARNET) 1.
no other results i dont think.
Having scored a perfectly legit goal in Extra Time an Orient fan at work tells me.
Oh well. Saving ourselves for the league and cup double I suspect...
Andrei Arshavin (Arsenal) to Anzhi Makhachkala
Sol Bamba (Leicester) to Blackburn
Yossi Benayoun (Chelsea) to Spurs
Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle) to Valencia
Fredy Gaurin (Porto) to Chelsea
Herold Goulon (Blackburn) to AEK Athens
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke) to Man Utd
Benjani Mwaruwari (Blackburn) to Stockport
Tuncay Sanli (Wolfsburg) to Bolton
Shaun Wright-Phillips (Man City) to Stoke
He's apparently close to signing for Anzhi Makhachkala for a reported salary of €20m per year AFTER tax. Ridiculous.
The Russian FA has banned the BNP from advertising at their grounds.
I was fully expecting this loan spell to give him the confidence needed to be the league's top scorer in 2012/13
that is all.
A lot of bodies in there.
Speaking to some Brighton fans on the park and ride, they were very quiet on the matter, eventually giving a magnanimous 'I'd have to see it again'
We really offered very little going forward. Stadium quite nice if a bit lop-sided. Didn't try the grub, but heard it was good.
when the capacity should be going upto 30,000 - would have been done already but council had concerns over the transport infrastructure.
Was behind the goal for the penalty and to me it did look genuine.
Not really of note in itself, but Jeffrey Schlupp scored a hat-trick on his full debut.
18 years old, academy product, seems like an exciting prospect. Was on loan at Brentford at the end of last season. Looking forward to him getting a game every now and then this year.
I'd get him in the England Squad for a friendly at the very least.
this season is gonna be well easy
a goal behind to beat Northwood 4-1 last night in their penultimate friendly. Sounds like the 2nd half performance was much better than most of the rest of pre-season. Still no news about the striking options.
Ryo Miyaichi gets his work permit. Looking forward to seeing him play!
Although a free five pound bet on Middlesborough sorted most of my losses.
Some of their other predictions are a bit rich. Can't see Arsenal finishing below Liverpool, for one thing.
laarson is probably in my top 20 fave players of all time.
Gutted I couldn't just grab a cheap flight and make it to the game. Amazing turnout for a charity kickabout, everyone had fun, Man Utd 'legends' fielded a fantastically bizarre squad and the Celtic lads brought back some great memories. Seeing Larsson swivel and tuck away that third goal took me back to some of the very brightest moments of my youth. The man is undoubtedly the greatest in my eyes.
My girlfriend was unbelievably bored, though, and found the whole event pretty bizarre.
hunting down and taking out Lubo Moravcik was a bizarre turn of events.
Pulis has done sterling work pre-season; i can see them finishing top half with ease.
Can't see either Woodgate or Upson figuring too heavily though.
also its always fun to see football snobs getting really angry about Stoke
hopefully stoke'll take a few scalps this season just to get some folk really wound up
He's done a terrific job with Stoke.
stoke are fucking rubbish. the beautiful game please, or not at all.
tony pulis is a total chief.
you utter tripod.
Getting a little club like Stoke into the Premier League and comfortably keeping them up while getting them into Europe via the Cup Final is bloody impressive.
Having said all that, the man's a massive, massive cunt.
which is a good indicator of it's bollocksness
brazil 70 or stoke 11?
(yes, i've seen every single minute of brazils games in 1970 even the friendlies and the training)
but similarly have frequently enjoyed watching Stoke playing direct football rather than Arsenal dicking it about in midfield without managing to get a shot in
for being the flipside to Stoke. 2002 or 2004 Arsenal, yes.
And there's nothing enjoyable about Stoke. Fair play to them as it works well for them, but doesn't make it good to watch.
i especially dont enjoy their shit take 5 mins to take a throw-in tactic. stoke can fuck off. massively.
(probably still watch it)
ruiz will probably be our 'big' one. Lovely stuff.
You're always so negative.
not even diarra. :(
postponed on police advice.
<followed by something about a free transfer while the window is still open that I havent worked out yet>
:o but :') after
Wigan hoping to complete the signing of 19-year-old French striker Nouha Dicko, who has impressed in a trial spell with the club after leaving Strasbourg.
Stan (Kroenke vs. Wenger; Arsenal remix)
that really made me giggle
now saying it's some kind of ear/balance issue. Crikey.
