So, the death penalty, then.
Read an opinion piece by Paul Staines (AKA Guido "Guido" Fawkes) in The Times. It contained a lot of sweeping statements without justification such as "the public has supported it since its abolition in the sixties" and directly linking the increase in murder rate to the decision to abolition it. But I was anti death penalty as it was, anyway

This has all come about with the launch of the e-petition thingy on the government website...100,000 signatures on a motion gets a debate in parliament.
