You know the rules. Post the names of some crap TV shows
I remember thinking 'That's not very futuristic'.
Starring him from Minder, comissioned for a second series before a single episode was broadcast
I'm gonna be snookering you tonight.
I'm famed for my aim, so
Y'better believe I'm right,
I'm gonna be snookering you,
Snookering you tonight!
Or did John Virgo sing the theme tune to that?
singing the Only Fools and Horses theme tune!
Thought it sounded a bit weird.
John Virgo should be banned.
Classic lyric mis-hearing
She even called the programme Stickerydoo. She was quite young.
Dream Team was ace, I work with a guy who used to be on it (Former QPR player as well for your interest LLB)
but research i carried out 5 minutes ago suggested that's not for certain yet, so perhaps i should retract it.
it should be cancelled though. having thouroughly enjoyed watching the shitfest that was the first series, i'dlove to see how much worse the second would be, but honestly, it's terrid
There is no other way!
Here it is again
please take you bet and challenge anneka off my list.
Bullseye was incredible
It was incredible in a sort of crap way though.
best tv quiz show of all time kind of way.
Shite quiz show from about 10 years ago with Robert Killroy Silk
It was pretty dull. I don't think it was ever aired as it was cancelled before then.
and play moves over to so and so
Well done guy from England!
(is that really what it was called???)
The one about the child preacher was pretty disturbing.
Bag of arse. I'd always take the 'One Show for kids' that is Blue Peter over The Lowdown any day.
pretty much the best programme I've ever seen. When the guy was hallucinating chocolate butterflies! Beautiful.
I was going to say this!
he also created the Avengers and the Professionals, AND he wrote Highlander II.
but I hope it's the orchestral version and not the synth one.
The timing of the punch!
Channel 5 reality gameshow where one contestant undermined the others.
Well, the American one was. I don't think I saw the UK version.
with Rob Curling
That was the one with Littlejohn where people had to escape capture for a week right?
the second series was presented by the legendary Ray Cokes iirc.
Cokes >>> Littledick
Channel 5 gameshow where contestants had to escape from a mock prison.
but I hope that's the one with Chris Morris?
with John Leslie in space
Fitted in nicely alongside Eurotrash in the pre-porn-late-night-parents-have-gone-to-bed-might-see-some-tits category.
covered in insects
Could it be boobs this week? No, it's a fight in Slovenian parliament. Next week? ARGENTINE STRIPPER GAME SHOW! GET IN!
because once a show usually they'd show some super serious commercial from around the world about the dangers of drink driving or drugs or talking about rape etc, and then it'd be back to funny foreign commercial LOL
Who's sadly dead now too :(
always a chance of a sneaky peek of some foreign lils. Which was nice.
set in a sauna
I wish I was a Laird
(Sir Trevor McDonald disgracing himself)
with Ben Elton and Alexa Chung
While trying to find out what this was called I stumbled across this wikipedia gem.
I was trying to remember the name of that one
But the lineker/Gower era was very good
2. Lineker pretending to be a lad
3. Everyone going OMG ITS THE FUNNIEST THING EVER when it was only on occasion, mildly amusing
4. Really shit credit
And pervy Rory McGrath feeling up the guests.
Pretty racist. And that's before I even consider the Jewish sext pest they lived next door to
so they had to find a way to get them locked up again just a few episodes later
[pizzeria-set 'comedy' with John Barrowman]
*i actually really liked it in fact
That little man, forever destined to dance into the sign
Spatz was great
You rang m'lord
Oh Dr Beeching
crap Granada sitcom from the mid-90s. Used to get audiences of more than 17 million viewers according to Wiki. Absolutely incredible.
The first series of Fools and Horses was considered a failure because it only got 9 million viewers!
One of my friends used to live near William G Stewart. He'd go to the pub with his mates, get hammered then they'd all stand outside WGS' house and shout QUESTION OR NOMINATE!
It was crap though, that empty little studio and all those serious looking people. It was Countdown without the whimsy.
asked hard questions and gave shit prizes.
Also a brilliant format.
I always played along and when I got about 15 questions correct during the show I was pretty impressed with myself
Also, I remember seeing that Kevin guy from Eggheads getting a maximum 433 - incredible.
You appear to have written 15-1. You must mean some other program, not the one with William G Stewart???
Best afternoon quiz on tele during the 90's
danny dyer#'s football factories
phil mitchell finds britain's hardest man
Can I also please take this opportunity to say that threads like this are why i love DiS, not the indier-than-thou or pseudo political threads or the never ending troll nightmares.
Just long lists of things that happened in the late 80s and early 90s please
Definitely not crap.
the best one was when Manc fantasist Paul Nolan turned up claiming to be a gigolo and declaring himself 'too handsome to live' :D
some absolute comedy gold
he looked really confused just to be on public transport, and then even more confused when he had to stand. also it was a really hot summer day and he was sweating like mad.
I got really really pissed when out Christmas shopping in december and bought myself the box-set for £50. I have NO idea why.
It was awful but Cleopatra was hot.
My mate once spent 8 minutes on N64's Goldeneye on paintball mode spelling CLEOPATRA COMING ATCHA on a wall
I wonder what Cleopatra are doing now. I hope at least one of them is a history teacher.
Even by early Channel 5 standards.
Have you ever
Ever thought like this
Especially for really irritating ones like Round the Twist
Its actually worse than I remember - WTF is all that shite at the beginning
Round the Twist was brilliant.
are you going, round the twist?
Didn't they change all the cast between seasons? I remember Bronson and the sister and brother being played by different kids.
Great show though
up the elephant and round the castle
starring Chris Barrie as retired footballer Gary Prince. The Brittas Empire (what a bad, bad pun) was terrible too
That was brilliant
it was AWFUL
I have watched it again recently, and the surreal weirdness of it is superb
Also, having worked in a leisure centre at around the time it was on, I have some affinity with it
Apart from the kiss
maybe we should meet up for a pint in the Budgie?
In that Chris Barrie's charcter was called Gordon(?) Brittas simply to facilitate the awful pun.
The Brittas Empire - I saw a few episodes of this again recently, and in retrospect it was pretty crap (the main problem being Brittas himself), though amusingly surreal in places. The woman who played Linda wasn't bad looking either.
Possibly the worst show EVER???
can't believe that hasn't had a mention yet - fucking awful
The episode where Gary wanks himself thin - incredible.
Also Sheridan Smith is BARE FIT BRUV
A serious.... a serious pro-fes-sion!
lets be honest here & put those rose tinted glasses down but apart from the odd moment it was mostly terrible
TOTP should be forever condemned for being an important stepping stone in the rise of Fearne Cotton aka History's Greatest Monster.
the one with Bob Mills and someone else and the Vidiators
Knightmare was amazing at the time. I was watching it on YouTube a while ago though and it made me sad that it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it being.
DON'T DO IT
It Ain't 'Alf 'Ot Mum
Only Fools and Horses
Noel's House Party
One of bbc3's worst shows ever. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.
a show about media cunts only enjoyed by media cunts.
Great show about media cunts for normal people who recognise a bellend when they see them.
The fans rise in ecsatsy at his 250, a personal best
I rolled up my sleeves to get amongst it and then realised I didn't understand what I was meant to be doing.
