What books do they read? Is there a current new craze that they're all into?
the Beast Quest books, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and stuff by Steve Cole (Astrosaurs and Cows in Action).
it's the next Harry Potter - but nothing to do with wizards - more like the Millenium Trilogy for kids crossed with a war story
they've started filming them - I think the first one has been released already
will be looking into all the suggestions given. apart from diary of a wimpy kid. the relatives are yanks and they've had them for a while i hear.
but thanks x
I had no clue what this was whatsoever other than it was the only film that grossed more than Animal Kimgdom last year. It was horrendous but probably enjoyable if you're a kid. Was reasonably violent though and had a stoner character too.
other than that he just reads comics.
They really liked them
the boy i looked after (age 8) LOVED these books.
is it funny?
My nephew LOVED it. That's all I know
plus sci-fi / fantasy adventure (although this could just be that i am raising a geek :D)
Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings too.
Id still say all four were brilliant books. Its about a dystopian post nuclear holocaust future where cities have been forced to put themselves onto great big tractor wheels and move about, and the bigger cities can then "eat" the smaller ones, using the materials as resources and their people as slaves.
There are parts which are pretty dark & grim, and in some places I remember them being genuinely scary, but its pretty much everything a cliched 11 year old boy would be into. I think I have a signed copy of the third one somewhere. I would definitely recommend them.
The last one was published in 2006.
