Well done him.
even more well done.
what's the world leader this season?
can't be far off
that isn't far off.
man i'm so excited about these world championships, don't even care that there aren't that many british medal hopes
and they had to ban the leg technology again
Y'know, to make sure he's wearing the regulation ones and hasn't swapped them for some extra-boingy cheatwear?
or does he have different ones that are OK now?
it's just that they come out starting slower and finishing faster, so different technology would have to be used for a 200m or 800m race. a lot of it's dependent on the data and calculations of the designers and yeah there's probably quite a large margin for error
I agree. Shouldn't be allowed to compete. Should do a Harlem Globetrotter style antics instead.
but in a paddling pool at the side of the swimming pool?
He shouldn't be allowed to compete unless all of the other athletes consent to having their legs cut off and replaced with the blades.
if so, i'm not really sure why some of you think you know more than people who've done research into this.
well done Pistorius, i say
I'd enter a beard contest without any guilt. (and lose).
but then CAS overturned it saying they didn't prove their case
He was light years ahead of the guys on crutches.
A congenital condition meant Pistorius was born without fibulae - lower leg bones - and led to the decision to amputate both legs below the knee when he was 11 months old.
He preferred rugby union, water polo and tennis as a schoolboy and only took up running seriously in 2004 after being prescribed it as part of his rehabilitation from a rugby injury.
He played Rugby Union in those legs? Christ. Only an antipodean would see losing both legs as some kind of flesh wound and get back out playing sports.
Fucking incredible stuff.
some people just don't know when to give up do they?
