Does no one start these threads anymore?
what are you doing this weekend?
that this made me chuckle.
Feeling incredibly relieved on Sunday.
Got really wasted and sang Teenage Dirtbag at the office boat party karaoke yesterday. And I apparently sleep-walked all night, rearranging my flat's furnishings.
Yndi Halda tonight and football tomorrow, presuming I survive the hangover setting in.
Today off but helping out at a ballet from 12 til 12 today and tmrw.
Helping the bear in the little car, huh?
Nah, it wasn't too bad, but almost certainly haven't got it. I was a heady mix of brilliant and awful.
CV stuff tomorrow then DiSer bleak's farewell drinks.
Playing football on Sunday
See what happens after that.
I'll be a lean mean fightin' machine before long.
This weekend I shall be meeting a friend from home who is down in London for a drink. Sunday I will be doing circuit training at 10am and then DiS football at 4pm. LOL.
I think I do, but I don't know what they are. Don't have to be in work on Monday, so I'll be very disappointed in myself if I don't go out and lad it up at least once.
for their little boy's first birthday on Saturday, which I think is a tad ambitious but hey ho
buying birthday presents for one year olds is not easy... or at least it's really hard to please both the one year old AND the parents
anyway, should be fun
sunday? cleaning baby puke out of my clothes and putting lotion on all my mosquito bites probably
I am Scouting this weekend :D
Some beers tonight maybe this http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=161915583875763
Tomorrow...I don't know... and then Sarah's leaving party :(
Or, heaven for bid, watching Scouting for Girls?
not bidding for Scouting for Girls
Scout is coming down from Manchester!
Our friendship hangs on which way you answer this question...
(Also, awe say hi to Scout for me IRL)
I really wish my sarcasm came across on the internets.
(though I would quite like to be a girl scout for a day)
we remain friends.
That sounds good. I'm tempted to head to The Slaughtered Lamb tonight now.
CG is coming to Essex for the whole weekend. We're going here if its sunny: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanningfield_Reservoir and here if its rainy: http://www.tropicalwings.co.uk/
then we're going to the cinema and i'm gonna moan and stomp my feet until he lets me go see Harry Potter.
the food was shit and overpriced but you do get a realy nice view over the water from the decking (unless they've drained most of it out which they used to do sometimes in the summer).
also tropical wings is great - its used to just be the butterflies but now there's like a mini zoo thing round the back
Hopefully if the weather is nice, we'll take a little packed lunch and go sit somewhere and watch things!
Tropical Wings is excellent. I've been there twice and I never get bored! The butterfly bit is the best part but the meerkats and the birds are also great. Last time I went, we saw two massive turtles shagging.
I am stressing though. I always stress just before I go on holiday. And then I get all cranky and moody with people. It's bad.
have a good time you nutter!
Hope today's court time goes quick.
Tomorrow: meeting boyf's brother and mum for lunch, then back to Reading for a friend's birthday party.
Sunday: hungover probs. Might go swimming.
Haircut tomorrow. Wondering if I'm brave enough to go for something really short. Probably not.
If it's as boring as it is now i might well kill myself. Although i did just speak t a woman with the hairiest face i've ever seen. Honestly, she looked like a lion.
the sweet shop is awesome.
a good wedding tho. looking forward to it.
Two girls who are above me applied for a management position (in our department) and got rejected because they 'havent got the managerial experience'. The job was offered to someone whos fucking a manager here (they've had no experience to do with management or our systems). To back them up I've refused to cover any work our manager does (who I've cover entirely while hes on maternity leave, multiple months of sickness and regular prolonged holidays) and the SHIT HAS HIT THE FAN. They have hung them out to dry and said none of us are cut out for management in essence, right? I have to explain why I've refused to do all this work at a meeting later. Weeey
Is the day I glass myself
I have a bit of a cold and by the sounds of it she has conjunctivitis. Snotty, gunky weekend then.
Her band are playing some little local festival thing so we're supposed to be camping tomorrow night... not ideal.
2 and a half hours, why does it take that long?
Doing stuff. Getting my hair done tomorrow. I'd like to go swimming in an open air pool or lake at some point.
Everyone come to manchester to visit soon and I'll show you all this cool shit. And I'll feed you.
We're renting the penthouse at The Light Boutique and having a BBQ and some hot-tubbing on our terrace, you should come along! I'm definitely up for the Spinnignfields swimming!
I'm pretty sure I'm free all next weekend, was going to maybe have a BBQ at mine one day but not planned it yet, so if I could come over that would be awesome!
I'm staying with chinty. I think we're going out tonight. I wanted to go to They Might Be Giants but it's sold out. Stupid giants.
And I'm coming down in like AN HOUR, not tomorrow.
Was not able to get in my essay last semester and I am only doing it now. Anglo-Irish gothic literature, I can't seem to find enough relevant books for my essay title which means I might have to start another one again soon.
I might have to get drunk later.
Doing sound in Hoxton tomorrow night for some (hopefully decent) bands.
Not leaving the house Sunday.
Tomorrow - leaving do/drinking/stumbling out at the end blinking into the dawn light
Sunday - pffft
I saw Simon Amstell yesterday by Angel station. He looked confused but happy at the same time, as if a small dog had asked him directions to the chemist.
and then waiting for my mates to leave lovebox. they're apparently intending on going out afterwards but i dunno if i'm up for it.
tomorrow and sunday, might see an old friend who should be in town but that's it.
Tomorrow - Football!!!!!!!! (poxy preseason friendly at Crewe) and 'out' in the evening.
Sunday - nowt
Tonight - Going to the twenty 20 at Edgbaston as my mate has a spare ticket. Not an awful lot of point to it, the Bears have been shite and can't qualify for the finals. Opening the new stand and floodlights though which is relatively exciting
Then being taken out for lunch and many many drinks (probably including jagerbombs) by a couple of companies that want to impress me and my manager. :D
Saturday, mates from home/uni coming down for much more drinking and general mischeif.
Because the missus and her family are doing the 3 Peaks Challenge for epilepsy action.
I however am not. So I'm going to be in the pub, on my own.
Welcome to the party pal
Honestly though, i cant really be arsed! Is it normal not to want to socialise wit your work collegues outside of work??
No doubt it will be full of the usually inane chatter and people bigging themselves up in front of everybody afer a few pints.
The worse thing is people seem to get really offended if i say im not going, whats with that!
DON'T YOU LIKE US? ARE YOU NOT PART OF THE CORPORATE FAMILY?
IT WILL BE FUN! CORPORATE MANDATED FUNTIME!
I can't be fucking bothered with them either. I spend 8+ hours a day every weekday in the company of these cunts, if I'm given the option I'd rather spend my free time with people I like and have something in commons with other than work.
