Anyone got it yet?
and probably not going to be able to read it until september :-(
tbh, i think both the ridiculousness of the wait, and the fact that this one is made up almost entirely of characters i don't like has made it so i'm not going crazy, but will get it as soon as i'm back in the uk.
already seen one major spoiler, despite actively trying to avoid them :-(
but will stay clear of this thread from now.
And I've read one chapter. I was an idiot to even click on this thread, but thankfully I've gotten away with it. No spoilers. I'll be back when I've finished the thing, see you in 3 months.

The actual chapter is Davos (II), if we're terming them in the style of TheTowerOfTheHand site.
So far I'm enjoying it.
It would have been worth the two quid extra not to have to break my arse lugging the hardback about

Recently been adapted into a tv series called Game of Thrones which you may have heard of. It's pretty great fun.
if I've routinely tried and failed to get more than 200 pages into Lord Of The Rings?
Really not a fantasy type person but lots of people with good taste are liking this so thinking of giving it a pop.
Sounds more Shakespearian than Tolkien-inspired in that case.
There is one - but not to worry: he is the best character in it
He's actually a crippled runt of the litter rather than a token beardy, elf-hating axe-murderer
When is the dwarf NOT the best character?
