Having to sift through pisspoor CVs like yours.
Nah, just kiddin'. Why apply if there's no chance, though?
they can go fuck themselves
um, i'm applying cos i want it - and if people never tried to do things that are out of their league we'd never have got into space.
you're right about the give-it-a-shot attitude. there's always gonna be a chance it'll come good, no matter how remote it might seem to you. you might just catch the eye of the person recruiting. reach for the stars innit (but be sure to print your CV in papyrus font, and on yellow paper, to be sure that your application doesn't get lost in amongst all the others).
it's for a design agency so i'm going all out
i'm going to be sad when they don't get back to me
ah, so not just papyrus font, and on yellow paper. but papyrus font, and on papyrus! you're hired!
Was for a procurement type thing that I was misadvised about. The interview was a bit of a nightmare, though a good learn
I was (probably illegally) made redundant from the Rpa last year
I did this recently, got an interview with 24 hours notice, freaked out a bit, messed up the interview a bit and didn't get the job. Even my parents were ridiculing my chances of getting it.
I went for an interview on Monday, having applied to the same company TEN TIMES in the past, with not even an explanation as to why I didn't get an interview. Anyway, after much persistance, I have got a second interview next week. I had NO chance of getting it, but it is good to go for as many jobs as you can...most of the time you won't even get a reply but then there's always that one...
Keep at it and work hard.
Having to prepare a nightmare application and interview raises your game for less nightmarish ones
I had a mate who insisted on applying for roles she had no experience in because she thought she was amazing enough to wing it. She wasn't. She once applied for a job to be an assistant to some top fashion editor, having had zero experience in the fashion industry or as an assistant, she could barely organise her own life - let alone someone as busy as this fashion editor. The best bit was when she was telling us about this 'amazing' interview where she and the woman spent 20 minutes talking about all of her favourite magazines and then when it came to reviewing her experience part she just kept having to say she had no experience. She was convinced that her love for magazines alone would get her the job. It didn't.
good one craig
and not getting it.
Even more depressing :(
Which you've done for 2 years
and not getting it.
A bit shit.
Yeah, I apply for jobs sometimes.
