He scoffed a speed sarnie, ran all the way to Hastings and bought up his weight in William The Conqueror keyrings
(but, yes...I am still feeling abit drunk. I think I can cure this post-drinking malaise with some mince and co-codomol...or what I like to call a ''Scotch Breakfast'')
and now i'm having a gin & tonic
i think i might be alright
We're eating dinner in the morning.
I'm going to be subversive and fly the flag for ''speed''
Less ubiquitous...and the drug itself is more funny-desperate rather than desperate desperate
''He scoffed a speed sarnie, ran all the way to Hastings and bought up his weight in William The Conqueror keyrings''
nice bit o' crack
The double vowel in the middle of ''speed'' makes it funny in a less obvious way.
I'm a fan of words that allow you to elongate the vowel (preferable e or i) for comic effect. See also: shirt.
So shorts becomes shoooooorts.
it wouldn't have been nearly as funny if it was speed.
Maybe it's your accent though. Tbh all words sound funny in your accent (sorry).
maybe you should just start saying craaaaack?
like i was previously familiar with crack
P.s. Believe it or not...I'm actually very middle class.
i would secretly (not even secretly tbh) fucking love a non-home counties accent. Probably even prefer an essex one, you must get loads of cheap laughs from it.
Break it down for me.
there is no tomato.
"nice line o'coke"
not too unfathomable tbh.
It's a shame that everyone else ruined something that was initially funny.

:D I think super hans might be favourite thing about Peep Show
is pretty funny
and i think you can use 'speed' as long as you say 'cheap speed' and describe it in vast quantities.
'he scoffed a load of cheap speed'...etc etc
''Where's he now?''
''In the garage trying to play the entire Eurythmics back catalogue on a Yamaha organ...in the space of 5 minutes''
...but he's only great when he's done a wedge of cheap whizz.
