Given that I have responsibilities that mean I only get to do about two hours of gaming a week (Are children really worth it?) Should I embark on playing Fallout 3?
One of my friends told me that if I can't fully commit pretty much every waking hour I have to it, it will probably just piss me off and frustrate me.
Well? Answer me!
...and got nowhere as I've always failed to find the time for it.
Is it worth breaking up with my family for?
But I am too easily distracted by burbling babies, lager beer and Four Rooms.
I guess that's love for you.
My little boy took the memory card out of my Xbox and put it in the toilet the other day and I forgave him.
If one of my friends had done it I would have taken their tongue.
So he doesn't know what the toilet is.
I will bear this information in mind.
I got fallout 3 and tried to play it on a couple of hours a week. Didn't work, couldn't get immeresed, got frustrated, traded it in.
You need a quick blast, something like Halo Reach or Saints Row or something.
I have ordered Assassins Creed 2 and Assassins Creed Brotherhood as well as The Orange Box. That should be my weekend home alone sorted.
You forget beer, pizza and wanking.
is that because theres so much stuff in the game they drip feed you all the different game mechanics so the first 3 or 4 hours feel like a tutorial, but after that its totally amazing. Both games are absolutely huge and AC:B actually adds loads of great improvements over AC2. The only thing i didnt like was that for the most part youre in Rome for most of AC:B where as Venice was a way cooler city.
I'd quite like one or both of those. Probably meteos, it looks pretty good.
and presumably both pretty cheap now?
Hatsworth in particular is worth a look, would really like to see them do something else with the Pompous Adventurers' Club
Yeah, you can get them both used on amazon for about £7 or so - providing you can delete all the previous data, i think that's pretty reasonable.
Good to know they're both worth it, might have to flip a coin to decide or something.
Augmented Reality is basically useless except for showing to people and making them go HOLY FUCK WHAT WAS THAT? I hope they do some other things with it.
after all the wanking people do over it it better not be shite.
Partly after having everyone banging on about it for last 13 years, and partly as there's nothing much else going on with 3DS.
Not that far in but enjoying it so far, but why can't it just save my location rather than dumping me back in the village all the time?
which is why im wondering how it will stand up to todays game. Game design has come a long way.
You snidey CUNTS!
game design 10 - 20 years go >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> todays game design
if you have a PS3 you should definitely get it. One of the best looking games ive ever seen. The boss battles truly merit the word 'epic'. Probably the most violent video game ive ever played. Kratos is an angry angry man. At first i'd dismissed it as just a button masher but theres definitely more to it than that. You have to start thinking tactically once the difficulty ramps up.
Im now back to playing Just Cause 2, game is awesome, wish the story missions were better. I would actually prefer it to GTA if the story missions were cool but theyre the worst part of the game.
One of the BEST games for it. Mental, breathless... just amazing at times. Would play GoW3 given the chance but I do not have a PS3. THINKING about it... they're so expensive tho.
But haven't really played it properly. Loved the first two games on PS2, so I should probably make time for it.
its been sitting there for about 6 months, finally decided to get stuck in and ended up loving it.
I got GoW3 with my PS3, didn;t really play it. Picked it up again after my exams and now it is probably my favourite game. Quite near the end now - I'm feeling quite sad about it. It will defintely be worth replaying though.
Is it worth getting? I liked AC 2. Probably a silly question.
Buy, buy. buy!
the fightings a lot better and there more stuff to do/ more weapons/ more shit to buy but i preferred the story and setting from 2.
I tried to resume my Mass Effect career from 2 years ago. And I was really stuck as I didn't level anyone up and got to a badass boss bitch.
SO I've started again. YEAH.
Tried going back and restarting that (3rd attempt) with the idea of playing straight through 1 & 2 with all the dlc before 3 comes out.
Returning to 1 after 2 I find it quite frustrating as there's an amazing game with a great story (so much better than 2's) but it seems a bit too clunky to go through again.
Although I haven't managed to make any progress in anything but the most basic on rails shooter or button masher since my kids arrived.
My friend has lent me the 2nd one, so this is the motivation behind revisiting it. I forgot how fucking massive it was.
Just levelling my man up on the side quests, then gonna go destroy that madbitch.
Finally finished off those last few missions. Actually worth doing, the ending is good.
Now have picked up Batman again after getting bored of it quite quickly the first time. Don't know why I got bored, it's class.
Although I've ballsed up the GI Blues mission. I don't want to piss off the NCR and now I'm in a position where to complete the quest I have to kill a load of them. oops! There's an optional part of the quest where you're meant to talk to someone at the Mormon Fort which opens the door for a peaceful solution.
that was when I was in the frame of mind that I would play the "bad" guy.
But it didn't last, I'm just too nice.
Metropolis Zone - best level hands down, and the music sounds like Pavement.
Chemical Plant Zone - One of the best things ever was managing to speed across the purple water without having to go in it, and that bit towards the end of act 2 that has the water level rising and you having to jump to the top.
Hydrocity Zone - One of the best water levels (strangely, Sonic 3 had almost ALL water levels really... only Marble Garden doesn't, weird) and has huge tubes and you get some fucking incredible speed in this level.
Fuck Mario, Sonic ftw.
Some people reckon they were better anyhow...
I bloody loved them though. I remember every level had a cart level in it around then!
that arguably the best PC multiplayer FPS of this generation, TF2, is now free to play- forever. Just download it off Steam.
