On paper this could be one of the most exciting heavyweight bouts of the year as 12-1, Shane Carwin makes his return to the octagon against 12-1, Junior Dos Santos in a heavyweight title eliminator.
Also on the card, the only man in UFC history to ever compete in 4 weight divisions Kenny 'Ken-flo' Florian takes on highly rates featherweight contender Diego Nunes.
In the middleweight division former title challenger Demian Maia meets collegiate wrestling standout and WEC veteran Mark Munoz. Interestingly enough the betting line has actually come down in favor of Munoz.
the rest of the card is as follows:
Donald Cerrone vs. Vagner Rocha
Jon Olav Einemo vs. Dave Herman
Yves Edwards vs. Sam Stout
Dustin Poirier vs. Jason Young
Jesse Bongfeldt vs. Chris Weidman
Nick Ring vs. James Head
Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Mike Massenzio
Darren Elkins vs. Michihiro Omigawa
Joey Beltran vs. Aaron Rosa
Thoughts/Predictions? So far I've got Dos Santos, Nunes (by massive upset, Nunes has incredible pace and cardio and I think Florian may struggle to keep up after the weight cut), Maia, Cerrone and Herman.
N.B For this event the prelims will be streaming for free on Youtube as well as Facebook. For all those interested they're due to start in about 1/2 an hour.
