usually boil the water, then add the eggs when the water is bubbly, and cook for 3.5 - 4 minutes...
why don't you try putting it in the kettle and keeping the button pushed down?
as soon as water is "rolling" take it off the heat and leave covered for 4 minutes
I like my soft boiled eggs pretty hard
cut into tiny triangles.. mmm
into cold water, put a mug of water in the microwave, time it for 3 1/2 minutes. Start timer as it starts to boil. TING! bish bash bosh
this no sleep is not helping.
i boil them in a pan, and then use a seperate mug to time it with in the microwave.
anyways, put them in cold water, bring to proper boil then time 3 minutes..this is for large eggs
But on my cooker, its small saucepan of cold water with eggs in on highest heat of middle sized gas hob, cover with a saucer. When water starts bubbling over the sides, remove plate and boil for 30-40 seconds more.
Remove. Put in eggcups. Whack tops. Thick but runny yolk. Yummy!
