i could hardly watch it, it was so awful
im going to stick it on now and watch it. I was recently considering a career in caring as i cant get any other work. i was surprised at how easy it is for someone (anyone) to come in and work with these kind of people. The money isnt great so you're getting all kinds of people applying... people just looking for a job with no direction... and lets face it, its the majority of these kinds of people who are the bad sorts.
i cant fucking beleive people are getting treated like this. It makes me sick.
I kind of thought at least if i went into a job like this it would be one better person going for the job. I would never treat anyone with such dis respect. Its disgusting.
I definitely think society as a whole needs to start showing the value and importance of care workers. By increasing their wages, limiting their hours, and basically showing more respect for what must often be a frustrating and tedious job.
sorry....but its the truth...pay staff less....make more money.
Since it is taxpayers that pay the private 'care home' in this case, wouldnt it make more sense for the state to run them and then the money that would have gone into providing profit, could instead be used to pay more for proper care workers
most depressing worst job she had....paid peanuts and not enough carers to care
privately run paid for by state....worst most depressing job she ever had...paid peanuts, not enough carers to care properly and they werent particularly trained, just there to more 'mop up after them'
PUBLIXEKTOR DUZ WAYST HONIST DEESUNT HARDWURKINGTASXPAYAS MUNNY.
and yet if they do manage to do it for less than the public sector does then it figures that they must be cutting back hugely on caring costs, cos if they really do it cheaper than publically owned homes PLUS pay thier profit, then it figures the cost id cut somewhere.......Also if someone says that its cos they are better managers, then why ffs doesnt the state just employ these 'wonderfully efficient managers' ....pay them the same, and then use the money that would of gone on profits to pay for more/better carers and more training
I am sure that many more care homes are unable to care properly, I am not suggesting that there will be many worse, but even if this is the worst, varying degrees of shades of slightly less bad treatment is still bad when you consider how widespread it might be (if it is endemic as a result of the method of providing care)
in one care home by this Panorama programme leads to the closing of that one service provider and isn’t jumped on by the media to make ill-informed, sweeping generalizations, based on no further evidence, about the overall state of care facilities, and those that provide them, for people with learning disabilities in the UK..............oh, oh...too late.....
the sort of person that is keen to see the bad in humanity but when I see things like this I understand why some people have no faith in man.
I used to work with adults with learning difficulties; I have such good memories of wonderful people and friends. To think that anyone could treat them with such disdain honestly sickens me.
Defo more kik style.
that rly ain't funny
(fiona not chris)
how anyone could treat anyone that way baffles me. Horrible excuses of human beings. Makes me want to do more about it. Maybe i will go for that job after all.
makes me so pissed and sad to read that ughhhh
Just thoroughly despicable.
ANd I know it's not directly relevant, but I can't help being depressed by the fact this seems to causing less fuss than a woman who dropped a cat in a wheely bin. I'm sick of the world.
And then mention OMG TWITTER! to a journalist whilst hinting at something about tits and big brother.
I'll be honest, shit like this just makes me want to abandon any liberal principle I have and just pray for ten minutes in a locked room with these cunts and a cricket bat.
when i read a report about police refusing to stand in the way of rape and femicide in Honduras next on one page next to a huge feature about Cheryl on the other. i sometimes think the world is just totally fucked :(
i dont know when im going to watch it though, i'll need to pysche myself up for it as im expecting it to make me very, very upset.
4 arrests! guessing two of them were Wayne and Ali.
