You know, for holidays.
Oh no that's St Ivel.
Make sure you visit the Orchard in Grantchester as well.
St. Ives, The other one: Probably not so much.
It feels a bit like a dead town though – you know, somewhere that exists for nothing but tourism and doesn’t have a life of its own. A bit like Venice, in that respect, but without the smell in summer.
not very BANGING, but nice
But a bit posh. I'd base myself a bit further east so that you can get to those nice coastal places down west but also see the sights over near Mevagissey / Eden project / etc.
I might ask you this tomorrow if you're not too pissed.
Quaint cobbled streets, lots of art galleries/shops (most touristy, a handful have good stuff), the Tate AND the Hepworth museum is a must, lovely beaches and coastal walks. It is quiet in the evenings but there are some lively-ish pubs on the harbour front but no club that i can think of (used to be 3!)... Driving not essential as there is an amazing branch line train journey from main line St Erth and good bus links to Penzance and beyond. If your lucky there'll be some surf to play in on porthmeor beach n'all
