won $100 on a scratchcard in Australia.
I remember when it first started, especially in terms of scratch cards, people seemed to win more. Maybe people just talked about it more, or less people played.
best photo EVER in the world that is! Here it is bigger...
It took me 69,038 years just to reach a million.

imaginary drinks from beyond the grave are on me!
You played 1040 games of Mega Millions. It cost $1040. You won $62.
Definitely worth it.
Shit. I should buy a lottery ticket. Thats over 20% of my money back!
There's the same probability of last weeks exact winning numbers winning the jackpot AGAIN this week as there is of your chosen numbers winning.
Blew it all on dvds.
yes. twenty odd quid one time. i can't remember what i spent it on, probably frittered it away on sweeties.
on more than one occasion. Does this count? We bought extra tickets with the winnings. I know 2 people who got 5 numbers on the standard UK lottery, both in the 90's, supporting the theory that people used to win more.
It was about £80 I think.
(almost certainly not).
My great aunt won 50k on a scratchcard once, and then another 25k or so a few years later. We suspect she spent 100s of £ks gambling over the course of her dotage, however. She was banned from all of the fruit machines in the area as she knew how to work them. She was also banned from the local indoor bowling club after being caught hustling.
Crown Green Bowling Hustling is something i want to get involved in!
I figure that's my lifes' luck used up.
