People luv 2 kil den selfs at Clapham junc
I found a penny though so it'll all be ok
just some big cheese in flashy car. He ran into the back of us I think, I couldn't see. Everyone was ok though except for everyone who got off the bus in a strop to walk to town then we overtook them when we set off again. Ha!
The same place last summer a guy tried to crash into us on purpose! That was exciting/scary
so he raced along side us and was swearing and stuff about insurance then he overtook us and once we got speed up he'd slam his brakes on, he did it about five times. The little angry boy!
Not particularly happy about life outside work either. It's probably because I watched Catfish last night and it really upset me. Gonna go bump that thread now.
and the office stinking of whisky. Woke her up with a glass of water and some paracetamol. Ah, Parliament...
It's probably my dream to have a job where there's whiskey and a sofa in my office.
Hoping it'll stay sunny.
gonna make 8 essay plans
also, jalapeno and cheese bread for lunch <3
These days whenever I see a post containing the words "essay", "library", "disseration" and "word count" I don't even need to see who posted it, it's always ghostpony.
it's more like 40:40:10 gp:VGW:hofo
(missing 10%: 'others')
10 days to go, then i'll never be here again
Oh man this is the second time this has happened today. Didn't mean to sound mean. I should stop posting for a bit.
Be good craic today DiS!
Such a nice day too for me to be feeling this shit. Wore in a weird combination of clothes today. black and beige stripe 60's dress PLUS a massive poof long(ish) skirt under it. I had to take the skirt off there as i looked a bit weird for work. i now feel neeeekid.
My whole world view has been torn apart. Last night I saw a well liked and highly respected DiSer eating chips out of a bin. I don't think I ever want to go outside again.
Does... not... compute.
He's bigger than me.
Pretty much average height I guess. But I slouch a lot — very, very badly — when I'm standing or walking. So much so that I wouldn't be surprised if I were ever thought to be a hunchback. I must lose at least 2"-3" from my height simply because I don't stand completely upright.
But today, for some unknown reason, as I was walking, I spontaneously drew myself up to my full height. I could actually sense the elevation, as you do when you're on a plane during its ascent. As I climbed from an altitude of about 5'8" to almost 5'11" for a few seconds I was struck by a feeling of vertigo. I actually had to relax and slump again to ensure that I didn't collapse in a feint.
i liked it
tell me another, pls
Downside: one of the referees is being an absolutely pedantic shitcock about some of the stuff in there. Being an enormously pedantic wanker myself, I recognise good pedantry when I see it, but it's the kind of thing that no-one in their right mind would bring up in public lest they be called a churlish idiot.
Yay for the anonymity of the peer review process.
It feels eerie.
These moments are fleeting.
Go for a leisurely stroll, or eat some sweeties with your feet up on the desk.
I've decided to stop fretting about stuff and go back to what i used to be like- utterly fatalistic and care-free.

Going to see Hugh Laurie play the blues in Islington tonight...which is odd.
but I would LOVE to see House play the blues live, especially at Union Chapel.
But I imagine he'll put on a good show, and I've not been to Union Chapel yet (which I've heard is a great venue)!
am a massive fan. i really want to see Steve Martin rock banjo too.
what a lovely little surprise.
Also, found out today that we're allowed spotify on our pcs and can listen to music all day if we want. Its made me happy.
I love it. However we are currently outside on a fire drill. As I am the temp for the fire warden, I am now the fire warden because I have a yellow cardi on. I'm holding a giant yellow sign with the number 7 on and people keep asking me questions. I don't know what to do.
Back in the office today. Feels good to be out of the house for a bit, on call at the mo so can't make road trips to monkey forest or anywhere.
i forgot to take a fanta out the boot of my car AND i tried to use my key fob on the front door that's always open.
it's got better as I am going to see the Houston Dynamo tonight play MLS. To the FOOTBALL THREAD.
because, if so: Dinner?
