Looks like fun.
anyone been sneaky d/ling it?
(similarly, is Blue Bloods worth starting with?)
not wire or shield levels but still pretty entertaining
I feel like its getting better though. The last couple of eps have been good so have some hope. Not sure if it will make it to a 2nd season though.
Terriers was far better than what this is, if you like The Shield you should search it out. Its one season but its still worth watching. One of the best shows to get cancelled. I feel like with The Chicago Code hes just playing it safe, even down to the name. its a standard procedural with a corruption arc thrown in.
and most of your views on television.
Terriers was great, even down to the title track:
Chicago Code is alright, more entertaining than it is challeging. I really like the mayor/undercover agent plot tho, that one seams like it has the most legs. Couldn't care less about the main dudes love triangle or his sister atm. Cool to see some of the Friday Night Lights crew sprinkled in there.
and it was only once they introduced the money train arc that i thought it improved greatly. Hopefully the same thing happens with this where the first season just lays the foundations and once theyve maybe found an audience they can have less of the 'solve a new case every week' procedural style and move to more serial storylines.
the corruption storyline is great.
Watch it for free here, no lame surveys to fill in either. It'll time out after 72 minutes (nearly enough for two episodes), but then just wait for 30 minutes and you're back in the game:
I've just watched the entire first season, really enjoyed it. It's not on a par with The Wire, the story just isn't nearly as sophisticated, but it's up there with The Shield.
Alderman Gibbons is a genuinely great villain, combining significant charm with barefaced menace.
The only thing that I wasn't quite so keen on was....*SPOILERS AHEAD!* the sub-plot involving undercover CPD officer Liam. I felt that they rushed that storyline a little as the season neared its end. I just don't buy the premise that Killian (the head of Chicago's Irish mob) would so readily believe that Liam had found out about an FBI raid on his hot electronics business through a chance encounter in a nightclub with a secretary from the Chicago field office.
I hope they develop some of these plots/characters further in season 2 (if there is one).
assuming youve only seen upto 10.
Have they split the season then or are they only up to ep.10 in the US?
Hopefully this is better than 'Sons Of Contradiction' makes the a-team look realistic and ruined my enhoyment of Futurama
all the remaing episodes will be shown at some point i think but no second season. shame, The most recent ep was alright.
as I just watched the first episode on Anytime (aired on Sky1 last night) and quite enjoyed it
Sky have been trailing it pretty heavily as well, they must be annoyed :D
now I don't really want to waste my time getting interested in something which has no ending.
It's a shame, I was especially excited by The Shield links.
