Easter weekend, so probably.
What are y'all planning to watch and listen to this weekend?
It feels like a Friday don't it? But it's not! Witchcraft.
I'm going to watch a film I think, is Scott Pilgrim good? I also need to listen to lots of albums this weekend as I have a bunch to review.
I will also drink some cider. Aldi ftw.
What are you reviewing?
I think some TVOTR is needed after this morning's news. Other than that, I'm lacking any musical inspiration and am thoroughly bored with my collection. I also have a helluva lot of DIY to do, so stuffs I can Spotify to keep me going would be highly appreciated! Christ, I'm almost begging here.
a couple of interviews to write Q's for and the new Dananana and Birds Of Passage to review. Probably wont get half of that done but hey ho.
I don't know what your musical tastes are but I'm currently obssessed with The ACB's, think they're on Spotify. Also listening to loads of Mono.
I also need to pack to move house :(
I love Mono. Can't wait to see them with their massive orchestra! But they're not really chore music.
Moving sucks - are you doing it this weekend?
which is like WOAH. That orchestra show sounds amazing though. The ACB's are more chore music, kinda Shins-y upbeat indie pop. I like a lot.
Well it's all a bit up in the air, I can move in from Saturday but probs wont be til the weekend after as have no transport but I should probably still pack. It's the 6th time I've moved in 5 years :"(
I know that moving pain. I calculated that I'd moved 18 times in my adult life and now I've stopped counting.
Please record the Mono interview. What a scoop - very jealous. Though I wouldn't know the first thing about interviewing an amazing band.
Its hard not to freak out sometimes, I interviewed Mogwai earlier this year and that was pretty shaky.
I'm debating not really packing, just throwing everything loose into my mates car :/
Just chillaxing tonight with a pizza, the under-18s footie (in absence of Ipswich-Norwich being shown on on Sky. RUBBISH) and work my way through some new albums I've picked up. Sunday off so may have a glass of wine or two on Saturday. Haven't been paid yet so no monies to go and celebrate :(
WHAT ABOUT YOU, LOVELY?
Absolutely nothing fun planned whatsoever.
I will gorge myself on good food and wine though. And sleep in very late.
My agency underpaid me by a hundred quid today too, which was nice.
I spent my last tenner on a bottle of wine and some port salut, rather than a weekly bus pass. Priorities, schmiorities! Bank Holidays can GTF.
i'm listening to "atmospheric cybergrind solo project" gigantic brain right now. it's like early 65daysofstatic with occasional blastbeasts and scary singing, like it. just spent 400ponds on shiny new tools.
dewalt line laser level http://impresstools.com/Product-detail.asp?code=DW087K&productid=101002 and this beautiful sonofabitch http://www.motek.no/pix/7759/gx120%20maskin.jpg
gonna buy a new reciprocating saw as well this week. shiny shiny new new.
My life will not be complete until I have a proper grown-up house with a shed and a workbench. Which reminds me, one of my chores is to clean and clear out the crap in my tool box this weekend.
Y'all feeling my fun now? Huff.
tried out the powder nailgun that snoop uses in the wire this afternoon, it can blow big holes in 3mm steel but the recoil is insane, it'd blow yers backwards off a ladder.
i think because im ashamed of not being good with money. I have no money and I dont want anybody to know that I have no money.
this weekend I'm going to an initiation picnic with a hot vegan girl.
This sounds rude, but probably is not.
it might be. i just don't know.
but I've been invited out now. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO.
Also I'm worried that going out tonight with a couple of people will make this my 'birthday night out' whereas a more populous Saturday night being my 'birthday night out' will be less depressing, even if it is further from the day.
I've been worrying lately that I overthink the process of going to the pub.
Their skulls were unworthy to add to my throne.
playing GTA4 and watching reruns of Friends/Futurama/Stargate SG1. god bless satellite TV.
First, ''The Hunks''.......followed by Ulrich Seidl's ''Import/Export''
If that gets abit too Austrian, I'll whack on another episode of ''The Hunks''
I still can't believe you posted pictures of that on Facebook. I just don't understand the yoof of today.
Take your pic.
Oh, I asked for recommendations in a previous thread but forgot to come back on it. Any recommendations on books or documentaries about the American civil war? Films no good. Hollywood gobshite got my back up and I don't want to go back there again.
Highly recommend this: http://tinyurl.com/68djc5b. He also wrote Schindler's List and he's bloody brilliant.
Let me know how you get on with the WW2 documentaries if they're worth a watch.
My sister and I busted out our finances to buy my stepdad the original (VHS) set for Christmas probably 15 years ago; later learned the bugger had been constantly unwrapping them and re-wrapping them and watching them for weeks.
We have better hiding skills now.
My reading pile mainly consists of political and war related books at the moment. It's a bloody intimidatingly high pile too - my Christmas list was 100% books.
I get admiring glances from men on the tube! But every now and then I wish I could sink into something else without feeling guilty about indulging.
I just want to be in Narnia with Aslan really.
jfc, apartheid eh?
Fun times :(
i ran for the train after work and realised i got on the wrong train and ended up in the middle of essex then got a train back which broke down then got another train. My 20minute journey took me 2 hours and ten minutes.
then they sold out of mojitos in a can so i had a curry, a cherry bakewell trifle and watched TOWIE.
it was bloody amazing
that are all too small for my fat BBQ filled belly.
