going to Bangor bright and early Sunday morning for a week long field trip with uni :-/
Off to watch Wolves stuff Everton before that, however...
Then maybe do something with the sort of other half who doesn't like the term girlfriend
Which two hours earlier than my get up time for work.
It's my friend's birthday today so we're having a massive BBQ.
I'm the token vegetarian but I am taking my home made cheesy potato skins and coleslaw mmm
I thought it was in the vegetarian code that any vegetarian attending a BBQ was required to bring halloumi.
when you've got marilyninthesky's cheesy potato skins?
Because I'm panicking over having only a couple of months left.
Tomorrow: see today.
So basically workin' through the weekend.
so going to try and save some Money. Off to the pub (good start) to watch the lunchtime footy then I'm going to lie in the sun while writing and listening to music. Lovely stuff.
I used to fucking love lying in Cabot Park on sunny days.
My girlfriend and I had the entire place to ourselves during the England vs. Portugal quarter final in 2006. You could tell when something interesting had happened because you could hear the entire city go "YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOooooooooooooooohhhhh". Good times.
Cabot Park is the one under the tower off park street right? (Only moved here recently so still learning place names) If so, yeah it is lovely, thats where I was heading. The first time I went there a group of ladies turned up in 1930's dresses played Croquet (badly) for an hour and then walked off again. Great viewing.
Sadly, however, Leeds is a concrete nightmare and I don't know anywhere nice to go except Kirkstall Abbey which I pretty much live next to - but I've been there quite a bit recently, and am probably going tomorrow. Was thinking about maybe jumping on a train somewhere for the afternoon.
Roundhay Park is lovely, not exactly close to you admittedly, but check it out.
Maybe another day (maybe when I've got people to go with, too...).
I've decided I'm gonna go down to the Leeds-Liverpool canal and walk along it for a bit. After some lunch...
still trying to wheedle some info out of my offshore colleagues in Chennei
