Memorable status updates? Nah I'm alright thanks.
Please copy and paste this as your status if you know someone, or have heard of someone who knows someone. If you don't know anyone, or even if you've heard of anyone who doesn't know anyone, then do still copy this. It's important to spread the message. Oh, and the hearts. ? ? ? For crap's sake, don't forget the hearts. ? ? ?
Biscuit or cake?
Tough one, though.
It wouldn't have been better though.
I really don't like that they post things I do on the site on everyone's newsfeed. I shared a link with my sister a while ago; turns out even those who don't know us both see the link. Why should everyone see that? Sorry this might be incoherent but it pisses me off massively. And I'm pretty sure all my privacy settings are set to "only me". Does anyone know know how to get it to stop?
That shouldn't happen. But on your page it will probably come up that you "shared a link with [her name]" and people will be able to click that and see. I think this comes down to privacy settings though and you should be able to stop this showing up. I'll take a look.
Anyone who is able to see the comment/link on her page, will see on your page that you commented/linked something to her.
but the person on whose newsfeed the link showed up isn't a friend of my sister. I think I've worked out that "links" are their own thing (as you can tell from the "link" symbol) without any privacy settings as far as I can make out and although I posted a link with a message it counts as a "link" rather than a wall post (if that makes sense).
Anyway thanks for helping (you might still be right, I'm not entirely sure).
What I now want to know is: what would it take to topple Facebook and how can that be achieved?
