to try every variety of ham they have on the Sainsbury's deli counter. I started with Drury Lane and it was rubbish, so I've just gone back to Wiltshire now.
In spite of all the jokes and nominations for continental hams, I think the suggestion that ham should ever be eaten thickly sliced is the thing in this thread that disappoints me most.
but i like at least 3 slices of ham in my sarnie - i don't want to taste the bread just the honey hog - we didnt have roasts in my house growing up its was a chunk of gammon and a spud

I still don't 'understand' what it's all about tho.
mixed with all the bits of ham off the bone which have also been blasted with a high powered jet. They then form this into a tube and cut slices from it. There may be some bum holes and eyelids in the mix but I wouldn't worry too much about that. The turkey ham powder flavouring covers it all up nicely.
(not really - it's honey roast or maple cured)
