What can I do to fool my body into thinking that I'm not? I'm not going for a nap cos they're revolting.
go for a walk outside for a few minutes to clear your head. Some fruit or a chocolate bar would help too.
Just sleep for about half an hour.
powernap if you have someone to wake you up.
Otherwise very strong coffee and bananas and proplus.

You'll always be tired if you do nothing. Take up running and some form of exercise. You'll actually find you have far more energy than you think you have
