I think this is a good idea for a thread :)
Hope this helps.
I don't own as many pairs as I should. I wear these pretty much every day.
IF YOU WERE WONDERING.
cowboy boots are at home.
I like them, expensive but mad comfy.
I have these ones.
and Birkenstocks. All you need.
But he uses two tentacles as arms.
Sounds suspiciously like you're stealing my thoughts. Although the internets and QI are both unclear about the 6/2 thing anyway.
but remembered that any jokes on DiS pitched much higher than "that's what she said" tend to go down like a lead balloon.

Everyday shoes: http://i55.tinypic.com/2v0bghg.jpg
& getting these tomorrow: http://tinyurl.com/4h3n87m
Some vans, some nikes, some pumas, some adidas, some high-tops, some clarke wallabes, some jordans (for sports), some sandals (lots actually, I live in arizona).
but when i was in 6th form, i had so many pairs of converse and nothing else (oh and a pair of vans). i think my mother cried tears of joy when i started wearing girly shoes instead
3x Blue suede
You don't wear them on your feet.
Conversely, some of the other names here are just nonsense.
Although admittedly I think I was about 21 before I did.

puma king football boots (gold)
some smart shoes/boots

1 x black high top trainer thing with fur cuff top lining. SWAG
1 x brown sensible work type shoe
1 x grey canvas vans for summer summer summer summer time
1 x running/gym trainer
1 x silver fencing trainer (these badboys are flyyyyyyy)

but none in a pair
vintage loafers: http://tinyurl.com/6dz6xer
Charcoal grey keds: http://tinyurl.com/5tsx2aa
Tan leather brogues, plain black flats (wardrobe necessity) and a pair of vintage, never been worn black and brown leather ankle boots that I found at the Salvation Army for $4. Oh, and a pair of ugly, but warm and waterproof, winter boots because I live in Canada and don't drive.
One pair Nice Black Shoes for events.
One pair Rugged Boots for kicking steps in ice and standing on animals/foilage that impede travel.
One pair Running/Fitness Trainers.
One Pair canvas shoes for Looking Like A Knowing Cunt at Gigs.
That is all.
as they can do the job of all four at a push
I do have some sort of semi-smart shoes too, which I wore to a wedding over summer at which I was doing one of the readings and nobody minded.
Thank you for this validation
a pair of good work boots from DeWalt, for instance, will mean that kicking ice steps is possible AS WELL AS working in construction. Perfect.
but the site boots are pretty specific and have to be signed off by my work (like hard hats) every year.
i kind of wish i had a job where my boots were signed off. I miss my woodshop :(
shoes for any sports are always acceptable as a bonus, unless that sport is tennis. You have trainers - you can use them.
I feel I have not enough shoes. I used to have too many until I did a close-on 100 pair clear out, and now I think I have around *frets* less than I feel I need to go with things.
I ought to add, my sister is in the process of signing up to dis (struggling with facebook connect) and I feel I ought to hold back on any shoe thread until wee imelda arrives :)
Public service announcement- mini-oeuf is much nicer than me, abundantly less annoying, and ridiculously hot- she may attempt to go incognito, so to anyone who recognises her- don't give her up. Give the wee one a chance :)
Black Doc Martens, all the time.
Do you like them?
right with them?
it just doesn't work. It's a bit Top Gear. But that's just my opinion...
Can't see the jeans too well in the photo, and the shoes look a bit lighter there than they actually are.
General use: http://i54.tinypic.com/23k927l.jpg
Going out and whatever cause they're black: http://i53.tinypic.com/244ayrk.jpg , I don't need shoes atm although I do plan on getting some soon. Oh and these are fsallling apart as i've had them a while so am replacing them with these Keds: http://i51.tinypic.com/29vb251.jpg
Sports: http://i51.tinypic.com/14jqer6.png Nike KDIIIs mainly for basketball.

Well i have two pairs of thigh high boots if thats what you mean
http://theshoebuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/toms_maestro_botas_00.jpg The comfiest shoes ever. And don't see too many other people wearing them so I enjoy that sense of superiority you get from being exclusive.
Also a couple pairs of Nike Air Force Ones though they're squeaky as hell now.

some manly looking tan thingys
lace up ankle boots with fur in
red hunter wellies
suede winter walking boots
