I had deep-fry chips in the oven and they were fine..
dad always used to say NEVER FRY OVEN CHIPS BECAUSE THEN YOU'LL GET TWICE THE OIL
the chips were fine, but a wee bit dry.
^this. i know some people who oil oven chips. apparently it makes them crispier.
put oil on anything and it will make it crispier... as long as it's not too much oil.. a touch of salte and even flour too wont go a miss either.
It's all down to the reusable industrial oil they use.
Richard Hammond did that series, the one where he tried to create takeaway food @ home.
Did you add oil to them? Otherwise I could imagine the chip being a bit soggy and pathetic
but then they would be fried chips, would have to keep turning them or something.I don't know.
