Could be interesting. Could be shit.
They'll probably end up putting Ashton Kutcher or someone in it.
i hope they make a sequel to tony scotts unstoppable
I don't pay his wages to be lied to
I was making a funny to try and fit in :(
Maybe it is unstoppable for all I know?
its a tony scott classic
Beverley Hills Cop II.
That's alright, but mainly cos of Judge Reinhold.
Could be great, could be awful. Seems like they're putting together a reasonably strong cast, and the whole thing about having the xenomorphs in it but looking *different* is interesting... think they're going by the fact that the xenomorphs react to whatever they use as a host, so if it was from something like the 'space jockey'... that could be pretty cool?
Now all I can think about is the awesomeness that was going to 'Alien Wars' in Glasgow last year. TERRIFYINGLY AWESOME. :D
they've all but abandoned it being an Alien film, so no xenomorphs or space jockeys or anything.
I went to Alien Wars in London about 15 years ago! They're still doing it?!
I thought the most recent stuff was saying that there will be xenomorphs?
They restarted Alien Wars a few years back, but have changed it and it's only available in the Arches in Glasgow for short periods.
I hadn't seen that. oooh, what to think. He hasn't made a good film for ages.
but, on the other hand.. it's not McG? Small mercies and all that :)
don't even joke.
parts of it to be shot in the Scottish Highlands...
BTW, has the (superior) original theatrical cut finally been released on DVD yet?
I've finally got round to ordering it on blu-ray, so I'll let you know how many versions are on that :D
but I forgot to follow it up. I'd be interested to see the "final cut" too.
properly brilliant. I can't even watch the original version without laughing.
Ridley Scott and Harrison Ford both admit that they were forced to do the voice over, and Ford intentionally did it badly, thinking that they wouldn't use it... except that they did.
Did anyone hear the bit Adam Buxton did on it? Nailed it on the head.
the original ending they had to use is the definition of a cop out ending.
I guess I never get that far into the movie. THAT is embarrassingly bad.
are in the 5 disc final cut box set which is awesome.
BUT: superior? my arse.
How can you find Harrison Ford's 'I really don't want to do this' voiceover and a tacked on happy ending that misses the whole point of the film superior? It's on the 5 disc boxset anyway
it becomes a completely different kind of film without the voice-over. I'll concede that "different" doesn't have to mean better or worse, and while I prefer the original, I'd hardly refuse to watch the director's cut.
the 2 disc version only has the 'Final' cut.
Not a moany rhetorical question (well, not totally).
Who wouldn't rather watch an episode of Muppet Babies though.
if you count that as a prequel.
But they're both pretty good.
Still not very good.
