Does anyone have to go through the rigmarole of annual appraisals at work?
I have mine this afternoon. I'm sure it'll be the usual hour of mutual resentment and any real workplace issues going unmentioned.
In five years with the same company (and five appraisals) I don't think anything has ever come out of the hour-long procedure other than ill-will, demotivation and a desire to start looking through the jobs pages.
Any ideas on how I can make it a more fruitful experience?
