Football Manager 2011 boring question thread
Recently got myself a nice new computer having had the same one since 2004. As such I can now play the newest Football Manager.
Just wondering though, is it actually that good, and is it an improvement on FM 2009?
I bought 2009 when it when it came out in the vain hope it might work on my old computer. It didn't. However I have been playing it on the new computer and after a few days play I am already a bit annoyed with it due to a few issues such as :
- A lot of the responses in press conferences simply don't make sense.
- Anyone you sign as a backup player, the fans are disappointed, and your fan/board confidence level drops if they aren't playing. Even if it is a promising youngster on a free transfer. This is stupid.
- Also, regarding the confidence section, I have been managing Leeds in League 1, and I lost 1-0 away at Man Utd in the FA cup Quarter Finals. Despite this the fans were "very disappointed to lose to one of their biggest rivals" and gave me a match confidence rating of "very poor" despite a heroic performance from a much weaker team. As a result my competitions thing shot right down despite being top of the league. Unbelievable.
- In virtually every game somebody hits the bar at least once. I had one game where there were about 12-15 incidences of somebody hitting the bar, no exaggeration. This is just ridiculous.
So, have they sorted out these issues, and what are the issues with the new game, if any? Also, what are any good new features/improvements?
Cheers!
