All the ones I can see look rubbish.
apart from one of the films.
Is it to do with when they first meet Spock, or something? I've heard of Spock.
iirc, I could be wrong though.
So that's probably what he's talking about.
It's one of the reasons I started this thread.
Hold it together until then.
I'll staple a lolcat to your face.
Might have a brew and go to bed.
IS IT, SISTER?!
We talk about tea far too much on twitter.
The ones that annoy me are the people who either a) pretend that they were on the poverty line to seem cool, or b) assert that everybody else on here is/was middle class and that anyone who says otherwise is in category a). I'm assuming those threads are full of both.
a) I WAS under the poverty line (way under)
b) it is the endless threads that occur on here talking about everyone on dis being middle class that prompted this thread, because it is annoying when people say things like, "yeah but you were middle class really weren't you? look at your interests"
That annoys me, it also annoys me that i see some of the predjudice and snobbery and viewpoints on here, which totally do not include my mums experiance, she was really predjudiced against by others.....and yet bizarrely she constantly aspired to, and pretended to be middle class...it was a bit embarrising considering where we were, so sorry, it was self indulgent but then again you can just end up typing loads of nonsense on here and no one can interupt you typing, not trying to be cool though, i think that the insipid nature of my anecdotes indicate i am not trying to be cool
Personally I'm not sure. But just to clarify, I didn't click into any of those class threads and wasn't aware you'd even posted in any of them.
I have little desire to see your blister, sorry. How did you get it?
its 7 miles...
14 miles a day would kill me. but 7 miles a day means that I'm in blister city.
so one alway seems to be rubbing a bit.
Before I came to uni it was that to the train station, and I used to walk that fairly often, about an hour or so.
I walked there fairly often (ie when I missed the bus) and walked back occasionally if it was sunny out. Until I wore through the soles of my shoes :s
Should probably start buying better shoes.
I tried taking them to a keycutter/cobblers, but they said they weren't the kind of shoes that can be repaired (ie, too rubbish to begin with). Then I left that job and started a new one, so I bought some cheap (like, £4 or something) "smart black" shoes from tesco, which cut my ankles up quite a bit for the 2 days I wore them whilst working out if my new job was cool with trainers. I've still got them somewhere.
This true story was brought to you in association with Morrisons Chocolate Limes. If you can find a chocolatey-er lime, you're not in Morrisons.
and bring a bag with smart shoes in, problem solved.
i'm basically dead.
I'm still not sure how the fix button works but I pressed it.
DiS can't go on without us.
if you're not interested in either then there's not much to see here.
'My working class friends have started listening to Radiohead whilst eating the end bit of a loaf of bread'.
-The implosion of the internet
-The breaking of the 7th seal/armageddon/etc etc
Could you make sure we all get our payslips on time this week, seeing as we are WORKING TO ENTERTAIN YOU.
Just about cool toys.
How is that not good?
Seriously, the worst kind of person is a rules lawyer, and the worst place for a rules lawyer is on a forum.
Maybe you could start a thread about your tear-fuelled crying machine that you use to fly from board to board?
or to yourself
always my mediator, always watching.
I will meet you one day, robluvsnic.
"when you least expect it" attached to the end there.
Sub-topic: is it just me or are there a lot more double-shifters on the social board than there used to be (say, a year ago)?
and certainly then it felt like there was a clear divide - day and night... now, people like me seem to be worryingly appearing when a little drunk to browse in the evenings.
Oh, and it'll be "when you most expect it", because by definition you'll least be expecting me to actually show up when you most expect it 0_o
To me, that makes utter sense.
is a great state to be in (browsing the forums or otherwise).
I don't really want to bump this thread, but if there are dinosaur superheroes I want to know about them! Though I fear you may be bluffing.
"almost comically shit and boring", then I agree.
