it feels wrong
I did want an all black room but my mum wouldn't let me (boo!)
I did however buy one of those 'Keep calm and carry on' posters a few weeks ago which I stuck on my wall, frameless. Gonna buy more posters soon and do what I missed out on as a youngster.
we have one in our flat - i'm always trying to get rid of it
how do framers get away with it?
i need a lot of frames. but i am fed up with framers charging £££ for bugger all.
whether you want it mounted, yada, yada, yada.
it looks better
if you're old enough for Vietnam, you're old enough to take good care of your posters
And put up. Fits into my living room pretty damn well. Whaddya reckon?
That reminded me of this:
wall space i have. Its getting ridiculous.. my bedroom is like an artists/musicians store room
i like it
Its WELL expensive getting frames for stuff though, unless anyone can point me to some cheapo dealz?
not the BIG ones (where they start using plastic instead of glass and the wood is too flimsy to hold at large sizes) but for stuff that's normal poster size they are great.
I've a few posters I'd like framing.
If you can afford it, why not?
Usually no more than £30.
so probably spend a bit more than you think you should. The Ikea one didn't seem to have enough strength to hold its own weight.
Sometimes IKEA frame sizes are odd though and don't fit certain posters.
So not blu-tacked to the wall, but not framed either.
I think my flat looks okay, and I'm not going to fork out for fancy frames until I move somewhere I plan to be for a good while.
to frame a wall map? The map is pretty big (1m x 0.6m) but £70 feels slightly wrong.
pricey business that framing game. and just for some wood and glass.
think i'm gonna wait and make it my birthday present.
Seriously, let me know if you want anything framed. My Dad's company is pretty awesome. Cheers.
what'd be your dad's rates on a job like that?
Just after a ball-park figure at this stage.
The average attendance at the Atlanta Braves' stadium in 2005 was 31,519.
and a limited edition idlewild print too. so... *shrug*
...the frames were less than a tenner each.
frame it, it's much better than using thumbtacks
some user bought a 7-inch record for $200 and was going to put it in a plastic sleeve and tack it to the wall.
