manager of hodgson's calibre/record, you'd be foolish to tip them to go down. or, maybe a liverpool fan. oh wait, synonyms
any 3 of about 10 could still go down
it's anyone's guess
L'Equipe reporting that Lille and Chelsea are negotiating a deal for Eden Hazard. Don't know much about him, but I'd be delighted if we're going back to playing with wingers. Duff and Robben were rarely in full-swing, but when they were ... Hot damn.
would've been a much better post
He's on record as saying he wants to join us, but I would guess that if you're serious about getting him and rumoured interest from Real materializes then we've no chance of agreeing the sort of price Arsene will pay.
Never seen him play, but from what I've read he's more like Nasri than Robben
Just more that I'd like us to play with greater width in midfield. Getting width from your fullbacks is a dangerous game. It's very expansive and aggressive so when you win, you win heavily, but it leaves so much space for the opposition to play in to. Playing with someone who can hug a touch-line well in front of him, even if it isn't their favourite position, would probably sustain Cole's top-level career for a bit longer too.
Hazard will go to Real Madrid, I'd wager.
Actually makes me feel like going and having a kickabout this lunchtime..
I want to ^this, this :(
"You watch Liverpool and Carragher wins the ball and boots it into the stands and the fans applaud. There's a roar! They'd never applaud that here."
sometime i wish i born in brazil.
shouting 'John Barnes! YEsss!'
he knows about Blackburn
i thought it was great and he came across really well...until this fabregas shit. if cesc belongs at barcelona, he shouldn’t have signed a f*king contract with Arsenal, should he?
he was balanced there i thought. you're just picking out the most inflammatory quote.
This fixture last year featured the away fans having flares thrown at them and being threatened by iron-bar wielding yoofs.
It's truly the San Siro Derby of the lower leagues. I'm going to lob a burnt-out scooter at the home fans.
On what grounds I don't really know, but I'm sure Daniel Levy will be publishing a lol-riddled open letter to go with it
just make your stadium better of fuck off to essex where all your supporters are anyway.
Dunno what they'd challenge against, seemed like their plan to demolish the stadium was pretty unpopular from the off.
There were criteria set out and they decided West Ham's bid met more of them. Unless there's a suggestion of some dodgy dealings, not sure what they can do.
everyone involved in the game has a flagrant disregard for rules anf fairness.
but on the upside, so is Jonny Evans.
I worry about how vulnerable to set pieces we seem without Rio especially as City are going to sit everyone behind the ball (as they have every right to do before anyone starts) I can see them nabbing a 15th minute goal from a corner or something followed by a helluva lot of frustration and not being able to break them down.
we all saw how shambolic we were at defending them last week when Rio was out, although hopefully the removal of Evans will shore things up a bit. I'm not all that confident about tomorrow to be honest, but we could do with taking the three points after last Saturday's debacle. Wouldn't be too gutted with a draw either, mind.
Sky Sports 2/hooky internet streams
most of City's strikeforce will be well rested too, with Tevez and Dzeko not bothering with the internationals
their strikers will not be a factor in the game.
Sutton at home to Lowestoft. We're 8 points clear at the top, but that doesn't tell the whole story. Lowestoft have been considered our main rivals for much of the season, but Tonbridge have put together an great run of wins and have put themselevs in with a shout. Tonbridge have 2 games in hand on us and we play them (away) next weekend (Hendon away sandwiched in between). Lowestoft meanwhile have a large backlog of fixtures from the coldsnap and would be a point behind if they won their games in hand. They are bringing 3 coaches of fans down - Yes! 3! I'd be gutted if be bugger it up in the final third of the season and don't win the league. After 2 seasons of play-off semi non-performances, winning the league seems the 'easiest' way to get promoted (if that makes sense?!)
I should've waited for the Weekend Football Thread, but I'm just REALLY excited!
I'm playing drums in a depressing room in Croydon tomorrow afternoon otherwise I would have come down. Not been down this season yet, should really go more!
at the Old Blue Last in Shoreditch!
money and company may hinder it though. good luck. i probably hugged you after the goals at cray, you're a good bunch of lads
...thanks. It was a good performance at Cray, and you can see how much every goal means to us now during the run-in, especially after taking 75mins to get the first! I quite liked Bromley's ground, I had never been there before. I took full advantage of the bench seats in the first half - it's not often I sit down watching Sutton!
to be debut'd before the derby tomorrow:
