At my student union assembly/parliament thing we were debating the closure of some women's only halls. In the middle of furious arguement, someone tried to table a motion that "Henceforth, all female only halls should be refered to as "Virgin Megastores""
due to it's apparently Keys/Grayesque attitude to women. I left the council soon after.
I think it was the only one in the country to be like that.
It was chaos. Exacerbated by the fact it was on a Thursday so all the sports teams were hungover.
"Oh good, another anti Israel motion. Let's see how this one pans out."
Haha, there was this Jewish kid and he was the most right wing person I've ever know. Like Bill O'Reilly territory. One time he went up to speak and everyone started singing the Imperial March from Star Wars :D

Not part of that chain though. Good place to buy singles and 7" vinyl when I was at uni. Tended to be pretty poor value on albums though.
I don't think I ever actually shopped in one, but I have childhood memories of the one in the Luton Arndale being the shop with the most neon lights I've ever seen.
