1st ep... Actually seems alright really?
Man, I've got some watching to do after Wicker Man finishes
I dunno if it's just because there's no Cook, but it was a pretty good intro.
freaks me out a bit with the level of very young nudity. It all seems a bit wrong.
that could make an interesting plot
but i think i always feel like that at the beginning of a new series / when they change the cast. i hope it's good.
The first episode with the last cast was one of the worst things I've ever seen in my life. Not that the rest of the series wasn't shit as well, but that episode...Jesus fucking Christ.
I like Milli and the metal guy. The bitch girl is a better actress than Effy and the one in the first series.
i really liked the lesbian redhead. she was hot.
because Glasgow is fucking full of that sort of cunt.
as well as half-assed. they didn't even change anything aside from the cast
a much better first episode than Series 3. The metal guy seemed so familiar, not off tv or anything, just like I KNEW him.
then I probably don't want to know you.
I was born in 1989 and thought the first 2 series were quite good.
/there is coefficient of waning interest in skins
Skins was shit to begin with and is potentially the product of minds akin to effevescent diarrhea.
Christ, The Inbetweeners is better than Skins!
given that the Inbetweeners is just as critically acclaimed and has won even more awards. What next, "bloody hell, even Dr Who's better than this!"?
it just makes me feel slightly sick about how lame my own teenage years were, I've never made it through a full episode.
Is this blonde girl English or Scottish? Her voice is doing my head in.
Cast was brilliant, especially Franky and the metal guy. It wasn't as try-hard as I thought it would be at all (especially seeing as the last couple of series were total SHIT). Really enjoyed it.
but I know a fair amount of boys who act exactly like the inbetweeners (Jay in particular, unfortunately). The 'life imitating art' bit is right, although hardly any teenagers are in any way like the characters in Skins there are a hell of a lot of twats in Bristol trying to be.
Funny and entertaining, if clunky and predictable. Could tell a new season had started as every teenage dickhead in West Quay yesterday thought they were a dealer or in a Klaxons video. Little cunts.
Not sure Skins would be quite as entertaining if it documented the lives of mates at 16-18 who studied, went to a gig now and then, played xbox and waffled on about AS maths.
Got bored, turned off.
and blondie's a right tool. Redhead and metal guy are cool though, actually almost like people I know.
Will keep watching, but with this kind of show you usually always prefer the first cast you saw, which was Gen 2 for me.
good to see Aidan Moffat as the teacher.
